Prints up good!
Review of Lexmark Z 65 Color Jetprinter by mrs_g_p

Advantages: Easy to install, great printing inc photos, speedy, easy to use
Disadvantages: Noisy! Cartridges are expensive.

We were given our Lexmark z65 when my dad replaced it with a super duper printer, and so far in 18months we have had no problems with it. The Look. The printer is about 17" long (43cm) 11" deep (28cm) and 9" high (23cm). It is grey and beige in colour. The Price. We didn't pay for ours but you can buy them for around £40 - £50 probaby less if you hunt around. The Setup. Easy. Plug and Play on a USB cable. Literally plug it in and it does all ...
...in about 10 minutes! Hurrah! Cartridges. Cartridges are expensive, £28 each. That is ridiculous when you consider the price of the machine itself. But, our cartridges have lasted us for the 18 months that we have had it, because we are relatively light users. We sometimes print photos and I do a reasonable amount of black text printing, and therefore our black ran out way before our colour cartridge. The problem with the colour cartridge is that ... Photo Quality?
Review of Lexmark Z 65p Photo Jetprinter by d247257r

Advantages: Card Reader/2 Paper Trays
Disadvantages: Slow Expensive Cartridges

...few straight edges on it, Lexmark choosing to go with rounded lines. The printer comes by it's self with no USB cable although these are relatively cheap and can also be purchased on-line for a few pounds. The main advantages of this printer are the print quality of photo's and the card reader. I've yet to find a friend with a printer that can better the quality of this printer, although it's slow to print are worth the wait. When printing text ...
...b&w prints, however the paper catcher lets it down, especially if like me it's situated on a shelf above the computer. It has 2 paper trays enabling both glossy and normal paper to be held at any one time. Paper tray 1 has a sensor to enable the computer to automatically work out the paper type. Another minor disadvantage I have found is the printer can make quite a lot of noise when printing. The card reader makes life so much easier and accepts ... Read review

Faster than a fast thing going fast !
Review of OKI B 4600 by netgekko

Advantages: Speed
Disadvantages: None

Oki make good printers, the Oki B 4600 is a very fast mono printer. Faster than a fast thing going really fast! This is great if you're printing off lots of copies in a hurry, or ideal for printing customer receipts or information when the customer is waiting. This printer is quite small so is good if space is a problem. There are a couple of minor things to watch out for, the drum on this machine seems to get damaged quite easily, if your taking ...
...the surface of the drum. Also the front control panel looks nice but is easy to mark. Like I said these are really minor issues. The main point about the Oki B 4600 is speed of print with reasonable quality, if that's what you're searching for you've found it. ... Read review

Great Printer!
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R285 by Selito206

Advantages: Perfect CD printing, Photo paper printing and normal paper printer quality!
Disadvantages: Large in size and has a few problems in CD printing (as explained in main review)

...ink being not even geniune Epson Ink, was perfect and high quality. The problems that i had was after i set everything up, and was about to test print my first few CDs, the printer said something was blocking the printer head. I had to restart the printer several times, and restart the computer 2 times to get it back to working/printing condition. What i learned was that when you want to print on CDs, you turn on the printer, and wait until it has ...
...ebay, and really it does not affect image quality as i have been using Epson for years and never bought genuine epson branded ink. Plus you can save a lot by buying Epson (in particular R285) because you can buy a CISS system for it reducing your printing costs significantly!!! ... Read review

A good simple printer
Review of HP LaserJet P1505n by netgekko

Advantages: easy to use, cheap to run
Disadvantages: A bit on the flimsy side

With Ethernet 10/100 the H.P. LaserJet P1505n is an ideal desktop printer for the small or home office setup, great if you're fed up with the running costs of replacing ink cartridges in an ink based printer. The LaserJet P1505n is a small mono printer with a big toner cartridge so it won't take long to start saving money on running costs. Quality is good with crisp clean results. The P1505 is a very simple printer in every way, its easy to setup ...
...I found the pull down front to be a little on the flimsy side, however when its in use the panel is down and becomes the paper tray so this is a very minor issue. Being Hewlett Packard it is easy to repair and source parts should you ever need to. ... Read review
