Not for old women who live in shoes.
Review of HP Color LaserJet 2600n by dhillcrest

Advantages: Looks good, prints fast,
Disadvantages: Too expensive for heavy use

...poor old geriatric canon inkjet. HP quote about 8ppm and that seems about right. Not the fastest of lasers I know but were not doing runs of 20,000 books so it suits us fine. Set up and install ------------------------ Came in a really big box. Looks like itd take 2 printers but disappointingly there was only one.Usual plug-and-play set-up on a workstation via a usb (supplied). we got the technician to install it to the network at a later date ...
...Supplies ------------ About £40 per HP cartridde which was getting WAY too expensive for the kids to use. I think the compatibles were coming in at around £30. * 1 x toner cartridge ( cyan ) - up to 2000 pages * 1 x toner cartridge ( magenta ) - up to 2000 pages * 1 x toner cartridge ( yellow ) - up to 2000 pages * 1 x toner cartridge ( black ) - up to 2500 pages Looks --------- Chunky but not especially bulky if that makes any sense. 6000 sheets per cartridge?!
Review of HP Color LaserJet 3600 by Expired-Account

Advantages: Easy to use, easy to set up, lots of prints per cartridge
Disadvantages: Expensive, not really for home use

...luckily we now have the HP Color LaserJet 3600. We got the printer a few months ago now so we have had a fair bit of experience and carried out all the routine maintenance you would expect to within the life of a printer. Now I can't tell you anything about the packaging as we have a separate department who deal with all our technology bits, so they received the printer, unpacked it and brought it up to our office. What I can tell you though is ...
...before but then we phoned HP and requested an engineer come and sort out this problem. The printer has a one year warranty with a response time of the next day. We reported the problem on Thursday and the engineer arrived on Monday lunchtime, not quite the next day but a fairly good response time, besides which the printer was still functioning, just about. The engineer took the printer apart, removed all the trays and cartridges, etc. After hours ... Read review

Not the best of printers - But not bad
Review of HP Color LaserJet 2605 by Hsaxo

Advantages: Quick and Looks Smart with Good Quality Printing
Disadvantages: Cartridge Are Expensive, and i feel there is better for the same price

I personally don't have one of these but my dad does he bought it to replace his broken Lexmark that he had had for a few years. I have used this printer several times and this is my opinion on it. It was pretty easy to install taking only 10-15 minuetes to get it working i ended up doing this as my parents aren't very familiar with computer stuff. Once ready to use it printed quickly and the quality of printing was sharp and had good colour with ...
...has found with this is that the toner cartridges are very pricey compared to other brands of printer they can also be harder to get hold of than the ink cartridges for the printer i own. It cost £420 when new which is expensive as this was in a sale and the original price was over £500. It has a nice shape to it and sits at the back of a computer desk out of the way and has a good wipe down surface for any spill splashes or dust that does get on ... Read review

Lexmark E120N - Networked Laser Printer
Review of Lexmark E 120n by fuzzyworm

Advantages: Built-in network print server, fast printing, fairly low cost, support for Linux
Disadvantages: Non-trivial, but not impossible, network installation under Windows XP

...major problem for me, as Lexmark consumables are notoriously expensive. However, after reading up on it a bit, I find that Lexmark offer a 'Returns Program' toner, which is priced at a reasonable level, with the condition that the toner be sent back to them after use, presumably to compete with the likes of Cartridge World. As I have mentioned, the main requirement for me was that the printer supported Linux, and this one does. It also supports: ...
...was quite easy, using the Lexmark provided utility. Once I had it running, it was impressive to behold. Having had a reasonably fast inkjet printer before, I was expecting it to be fast, but this thing blinded me with its speed. It is rated at 19ppm (A4), 20ppm (Letter), and I would believe it too. The specification says that the printout of the first page should be within 8 seconds, and this could reasonably be said to be true. Image quality, ... Read review

Spoil her and she'll look after you.
Review of Xerox Phaser 6125V/N by netgekko

Advantages: Solid and Reliable
Disadvantages: Running costs

The Xerox Phaser 6125vn comes from a long line of thoroughbreds, Xerox are experts at turning out solid printers and they even look good. The print quality is more than adequate and there print speed is ok too. This printer is great for small offices, Estate Agents seem to like them and I can see why, they are reliable and ideal for printing house info with colour pictures of "nice fixer uppers". There are a couple of drawbacks however, Xerox toner ...
...of warrantee can be frustrating, Xerox will repair but there prices go through the roof and getting parts is an expensive and torturous ordeal if you want to fit them yourself, I have to order bits from France and it can take up to 14 days. Having said that The Xerox Phaser 6125vn is less likely than most to break down and should give years of faithful service especially if you use good quality paper and toner. ... Read review
