Advantages: Networkable double sided printing with a small footprint
Disadvantages: There isnt one, I like this printer.

This is a great workhorse printer from H.P. its fast with clear, crisp print results, the extra paper tray is useful for having plain and letter headed paper ready to print, or even different sizes. Easily networkable, and the duplex is fast without paper jams which seems to happen often on other machines I've used. This machine has a small footprint so if space is at a premium in your office but the workload is high, this might be the printer ...
...and if the LJ4250dtn develops any faults H.P. parts are cheaper and more easily available than most. There is one fault I am aware of with this machine relating to the duplex unit, if you expect to do a lot of double sided printing, it has a habit of becoming a bit noisy; there is a cog that wears under the extra load caused by the duplex. For the jobs that I want it to do at the moment, it performs well, although I am hoping to print out some large photo prints in the near future, so will be upgrading. ...the printer itself, as my PC may not be set up correctly. The disadvantage is the amount of ink it uses. I have never used so much over the last few months,especially if you are printing out photos - it is not a cheap option. Much cheaper to get them done at processing lab or online. The Epson R300 is a good low cost Photo Printer. It has lots of useful features, for instance you can print direct from a camera, or pop a memory card into the reader on the front. If you're connected to a PC then it can use the memory card reader as well. It is also possible to attach a Bluetooth module and print direct from a camera phone, but I've not tried this. You can buy a colour LCD for it so that you can preview pictures before you print ...
...and it can knock 6x4 prints out in a minute or so. It also has the capability of printing direct onto white coated CD/DVDs if you want to make your Disks look smart!
