HP 500 plus wide format printer
Review of HP DesignJet 500 Plus by
bob3000000
Advantages: reliability quality and very very cheap to buy.
Disadvantages: can be a little slow upto 45 minutes to print a high quality picture.
The hewlitt packard 500 plus.
I do not have a bad word to say about this.
the printer is employed in my printing company for producing one off prints large scale and it does the job without any quarms.
i have gone through loads of ink cartridges for this which does add up.
but the money you can make for your time is well worth it.
it is a little slow but if you are going to use it to print plans or like me one off prints it is fine if you can ... ...a bargain.
I have never had any problems with this machine at all,
I have printed literally hundreds of 60 inch by 40 inch pictures on it,
you do have to look after the machine try to keep dust out of it don't put dusty paper rolls in. Try to stick with official paper it does a better job.
as for running costs well in my experience based on the ammount of ink I put on a poster:
on a 42 inch roll this machine costs in the region of £7 per metre ...

The most expensive disappointment of my life
Review of HP DesignJet T1100 by
Corbu
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Never work well from the begging, tech support terrible
...the cutter defective it took HP about a two weeks to have a new cutter send to the technician that was fixing the plotter. When I finally got my cutter working properly the car in which the cutter runs was not working properly. The technician requested info from HP and never got and answers back. I had to call personally HP to see what was going on and was told I was going to be contacted by the person that was taking care of my case never got that ... ...And to top things off I am losing money because I can print anything that I produce. HP doesn't not stand for what it claims when it comes to customer satisfaction and equipment warranty. Good luck to everyone who buys this plotter or anything from HP. ...

Size is sometimes very important
Review of HP DesignJet 130 by
Miskah
Advantages: Prints are massive and very high quality
Disadvantages: Big initial outlay - unlikely to be useful for the average home user.
...We decided to buy the HP DesignJet 130, A1 Inkjet Printer mainly due to its price but also because we were allowed to have a demonstration. It costs £820.12 excluding VAT (as we are a registered charity for fundraising purposes we don’t pay VAT) adding VAT to the price will raise it to £963.64.
It does appear to be a large amount of money, but many other departments in the NHS and social services are in the same boat so we will be able to share ... ...cost which isn’t bad
HP DesignJet 130, A1 Inkjet Printer
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This printer is not as big as one would expect considering the size it prints out. Its dimensions are 1050 x 415 x 220 mm (W x D x H) and it weighs 22 kg. It has 6 individual ink cartridges; black, cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan and light magenta. The maximum paper size is 1625 mm x 625 mm (Length x Width) and it leaves a border of 5 mm at the ...
A printer good for home use
Review of Canon PIXMA IP2500 by
Sweetpea1075
Advantages: Inexpensive, Nice design, modern looking, OK for everyday use
Disadvantages: Noisy, takes ages to start up, goes through ink quickly
...had broken. I have a Canon camera and know that Canon is a good well know brand. It also looks nice and modern and has a nice shiny black finish.
For the jobs that I want it to do at the moment, it performs well, although I am hoping to print out some large photo prints in the near future, so will be upgrading. For standard photos and written documents, it does the job nicely, although some of the colours on the photos did not come out the same ... ...the printer itself, as my PC may not be set up correctly.
The disadvantage is the amount of ink it uses. I have never used so much over the last few months,especially if you are printing out photos - it is not a cheap option. Much cheaper to get them done at processing lab or online. The ink is not cheap for this printer either, compared with other similar printers. Although I have found that even when it says it is empty, there is still actually ...
A good printer with added "bits"
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R300 by
Carrotts73
Advantages: good print quality, cheap copy cartridges, stand alone if needed
Disadvantages: none really
The Epson R300 is a good low cost Photo Printer. It has lots of useful features, for instance you can print direct from a camera, or pop a memory card into the reader on the front. If you're connected to a PC then it can use the memory card reader as well. It is also possible to attach a Bluetooth module and print direct from a camera phone, but I've not tried this. You can buy a colour LCD for it so that you can preview pictures before you print ... ...and it can knock 6x4 prints out in a minute or so. It also has the capability of printing direct onto white coated CD/DVDs if you want to make your Disks look smart!
I get my ink from eBay, and this does not seem to massively affect the quality of printouts but is much cheaper. The set up is very straightforward.
The printer has a little LCD screen that gives out status messages and other information, so it is worth remembering this before you ...
