Canon Can!
Review of Canon PIXMA IP4500 by
valleygirl82
Advantages: Great quality prints
Disadvantages: A little slow but the best comes to those who wait!
...models I came across the Canon Pixma IP4500. I bought this printer from Ebuyer for £63.00 which was much cheaper than some of the well-known electrical / computer stores.
The printers design is simple - the body is mainly black with silver surroundings. It has the usual on/off button, cancel/feed button, and a button to switch between input trays. It doesn't have any memory card slots but does have a PictBridge USB port.
This model has two paper ... ...tell the difference between my canon photo print compared to a lab print). I do find the photo prints to be a lot lighter than on-screen as it uses auto-correcting which you can disable.
Overall this is the best printer I have had in years and would recommend it to anyone doing a little more than general printing as the ink can be quite expensive.
Best of all my Scrapbooking hobby is alive and kicking as I no longer need to wait for professional ...

Great for the money and size.
Review of Canon Laser Shot LBP 5000 by
hazeydazey
Advantages: Colour, compact compared to other laser and fits on desktop, laser.
Disadvantages: Still quite large compared to an ink jet.
I bought one of these babies because I hate inkjets and love laser. This was the only one I could really afford which was small enough to fit on my desktop and had colour.
Laser printers are better than inkjets because they give a crisp and professional look to word documents and spreadsheets. Even with a fine quality inject it still looks home-made unless it is on hideously expensive paper. Therefore the LBP 5000 it makes my assignments look great. ... ...pictures which sends shivers down my spine with excitement.
It is generally understood that lasers are far better value for money on a long-term basis. When you replace cartridges in an injet they can cost £15 plus for each colour. A replacement toner cartridge for the LBP5000 laser printer is around £50, however they need replacing far less frequently. I have had mine for six months and have gone through at least two reams of paper and still have ...

Great Scott! A Portable Printing Device!
Review of Canon Pixma iP90v by
Craigshadow12
Advantages: Great for printing on the move, Good quality prints.
Disadvantages: Moderate speeds, Not truely mobile without the battery pack.
...because I have had many Canon printers in the past and have had nothing but the best quality. I have already owned 3 Canon products from the Pixma range alone so I knew roughly what to expect. I knew that I was going to get a great printer with the added bonus of it being able to travel with me easily. Even though there are many other portable printer options out there, and even some of these being released by Canon themselves, I have tested these ... ...Overview
=
The Canon Pixma iP90v is designed in the style of a laptop. This brings with it style and the option to carry this printer with ease. The printer is however about twice as thick as my laptop but this is still a very good size for a printer. Before this there was a similar product called the Canon Pixma iP90. This model however improves on this by offering faster printing speeds for photos and also added support for Windows Vista ...

The Ideal Hospital Patient's Printer
Review of Canon BJC 50 by
AlisonJClarke
Advantages: Small and compact, able to print colour and monochrome, rechargeable.
Disadvantages: It can be difficult to get paper to feed straight, a bit noisy when printing colour.
I bought the BJC-50 as I wanted a small printer that would go into my case with my laptop computer for when I went into hospital. This printer was an ideal size for that purpose. I take it into hospital whenever I go in now so that I can keep up to date with any correspondence. It is very convenient as it can be charged and then used off battery leaving you with one less cable to cope with. One problem I did have was with my paper not feeding through ... ...which is the auto sheet feeder designed for this printer. Now my paper all comes through straight, no more wonky letters from me. One other disadvantage of this printer is that it is quite noisy when printing colour. I like the cartridge containers as they are simple to use and also quite clean, no inky fingers unlike some other print cartridges. All in all it is a good buy if you are looking for a compact reliable printer. ...

Pixma brains which printer to have.
Review of Canon PIXMA IP90 by
GWJ270967
Advantages: comact, stylish, good brand reputation
Disadvantages: infa red slow, is heavy when used with battery
...to buy an old canon bjc 80 or the likes.
I then went onto ebay and searched for a portable printer, you can imagine all the junk that came up and then I saw it, the Canon Pixma IP90, looking very stylish, so like everything else I buy I searched the internet for information on it, and all the reviews I found were positive, albeit the printer was a bit pricey at £199 but I was not swayed and and kept hunting for the best price, in the end I bought ... ...for the pair for original canon but you can get generic replacements for a fraction of the cost, I personally use the original ones, but again I don't print hundreds of pages, just the average family use so it doesn't hurt me when I have to replace them.
The print quality is really good from a compact ink jet printer, good enough to print decent charts, documents and even photos.
The canon boasts print speeds of upto 16 pages per minute, this must ...
