Fast colour printer
Review of HP LaserJet 1600 by
lesleyanne18
Advantages: Great Quality
Disadvantages: NOT WITH VISTA
...writing a review on the hp 1600 printer.
I use this colour printer regulary in my work, and i have found it to be excellent. Its a business printer so i am not sure what it cost - but looking online i would estimate: £140 from the HP Website
What it looks like: It sits quite upright but with a gently curved front panel and a completely flat top. Coloured in beige, light and slate grey, the printer has a minimal control panel of just four buttons, ... ...the front there is the HP Logo, and the printer name below HP Laserjet 1600 - the paper goes in at the tray in the bottom, and comes out the top.The function buttons are along the top.
The printer holds four cartridges - magenta - cyan - yellow- black
Quality:
the quality is excellent - i am used to a different type of colour printer, at home i use a slow colour printer, and when i see how fast this one is cant be bothered using my one at home. ...

Faster than a fast thing going fast !
Review of OKI B 4600 by
netgekko
Advantages: Speed
Disadvantages: None
Oki make good printers, the Oki B 4600 is a very fast mono printer. Faster than a fast thing going really fast! This is great if you're printing off lots of copies in a hurry, or ideal for printing customer receipts or information when the customer is waiting.
This printer is quite small so is good if space is a problem.
There are a couple of minor things to watch out for, the drum on this machine seems to get damaged quite easily, if your taking ... ...the surface of the drum.
Also the front control panel looks nice but is easy to mark. Like I said these are really minor issues.
The main point about the Oki B 4600 is speed of print with reasonable quality, if that's what you're searching for you've found it. ...

Great Printer!
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R285 by
Selito206
Advantages: Perfect CD printing, Photo paper printing and normal paper printer quality!
Disadvantages: Large in size and has a few problems in CD printing (as explained in main review)
...ink being not even geniune Epson Ink, was perfect and high quality. The problems that i had was after i set everything up, and was about to test print my first few CDs, the printer said something was blocking the printer head. I had to restart the printer several times, and restart the computer 2 times to get it back to working/printing condition. What i learned was that when you want to print on CDs, you turn on the printer, and wait until it has ... ...ebay, and really it does not affect image quality as i have been using Epson for years and never bought genuine epson branded ink. Plus you can save a lot by buying Epson (in particular R285) because you can buy a CISS system for it reducing your printing costs significantly!!! ...

A good simple printer
Review of HP LaserJet P1505n by
netgekko
Advantages: easy to use, cheap to run
Disadvantages: A bit on the flimsy side
With Ethernet 10/100 the H.P. LaserJet P1505n is an ideal desktop printer for the small or home office setup, great if you're fed up with the running costs of replacing ink cartridges in an ink based printer. The LaserJet P1505n is a small mono printer with a big toner cartridge so it won't take long to start saving money on running costs.
Quality is good with crisp clean results.
The P1505 is a very simple printer in every way, its easy to setup ... ...I found the pull down front to be a little on the flimsy side, however when its in use the panel is down and becomes the paper tray so this is a very minor issue. Being Hewlett Packard it is easy to repair and source parts should you ever need to. ...

Spoil her and she'll look after you.
Review of Xerox Phaser 6125V/N by
netgekko
Advantages: Solid and Reliable
Disadvantages: Running costs
The Xerox Phaser 6125vn comes from a long line of thoroughbreds, Xerox are experts at turning out solid printers and they even look good. The print quality is more than adequate and there print speed is ok too.
This printer is great for small offices, Estate Agents seem to like them and I can see why, they are reliable and ideal for printing house info with colour pictures of "nice fixer uppers".
There are a couple of drawbacks however, Xerox toner ... ...of warrantee can be frustrating, Xerox will repair but there prices go through the roof and getting parts is an expensive and torturous ordeal if you want to fit them yourself, I have to order bits from France and it can take up to 14 days.
Having said that The Xerox Phaser 6125vn is less likely than most to break down and should give years of faithful service especially if you use good quality paper and toner. ...
