...poor old geriatric canon inkjet. HP quote about 8ppm and that seems about right. Not the fastest of lasers I know but were not doing runs of 20,000 books so it suits us fine. This product is very good for producing business type letters. It is fast and reliable and rarely gets jammed. It can use universal paper as well as the more expensive type papers and the memory capacity is very good. Although it only prints in black and white it is a high definition print quality and the ink cartidges last a fair while even when it is being used by several printers. ...amount of useless software that HP make you install with all their new printers. A good feature of this printer as apposed to the older HP desktop laser printers is that it has more error status lights on it which makes it far easier for a tech like me to diagnose any problems (though I haven't has one beak on me yet). ...husband has been using the HP Laserjet P1005 at work for the past few months. His [much more expensive] laserjet broke down and he was quite put out to receive this in return! Amazon charges £69.75 for this product [with free delivery within the UK]. At this price you know that the printer is not going to be top of the range, however, it's not total rubbish by any means. It prints at speeds of up to 14ppm [which is no good for high volume printing ...
