Photo printer cheap as chips
Review of HP PhotoSmart 8050 by
roy.jennings1
Advantages: Good resolution, neat features
Disadvantages: None found
...photo printing, rather than the HP stuff that comes with the printer. (my opinion)
I would seriously recommend the printer, I have only had it for a few weeks so far, but am very pleased with the results its given me.
The cartridges are a little on the dearer side than other manufacturers. But I would recommend using the GENUINE ones rather than cheap after market type.
I haven't been able to use the printer on my LAN NETWORK, which was simple ... ...I haven't installed something by mistake. I know it does say not a network printer, but either was my last one.. lol.
I haven;t bothered to go into all the technical spec's like dpi etc... I'm sure if those things are important to you making a choice it would be better to look at the manufacturers website...
For those who can't understand all the technical mumbo-jumbo.
The spec's are on the higher end than most printers of the £50 price bracket. ...

Great printer! Great Software! Great results!
Review of HP PhotoSmart D5160 by
monkeybrother
Advantages: Simple and easy to use, comes with full instructions, Works great!, Great quality
Disadvantages: Can't think of any disadvantages at the moment!!
This is my second ever printer.
The Printer before this one was about 5-6years old so when i got this new one it was like entering a new world.
The draft setting is amazing. The printer literally prints so quickly that the paper gets spat out! I found this amazing! From the old one to this one there is a huge step!
I have also recently got a camcorder with an SD card. I used to have to plug in the camera and the computer had to go though all the ... ...camcorder. But now i have an SD card reader included in the Printer! It also has:
XD reader,
MS/DUO reader,
CF reader and MMC reader!
Using the SD card reader means that i can open up my videos and pictures so much more quickly.
There was one problem. When we got it there was no lead which connects it to the computer. I dont know if it was a mistake but it was very anoying. But i luckily found a cable and it was very easy to set it up with the ...

Faster than a fast thing going fast !
Review of OKI B 4600 by
netgekko
Advantages: Speed
Disadvantages: None
Oki make good printers, the Oki B 4600 is a very fast mono printer. Faster than a fast thing going really fast! This is great if you're printing off lots of copies in a hurry, or ideal for printing customer receipts or information when the customer is waiting.
This printer is quite small so is good if space is a problem.
There are a couple of minor things to watch out for, the drum on this machine seems to get damaged quite easily, if your taking ... ...the surface of the drum.
Also the front control panel looks nice but is easy to mark. Like I said these are really minor issues.
The main point about the Oki B 4600 is speed of print with reasonable quality, if that's what you're searching for you've found it. ...

Great Printer!
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R285 by
Selito206
Advantages: Perfect CD printing, Photo paper printing and normal paper printer quality!
Disadvantages: Large in size and has a few problems in CD printing (as explained in main review)
...ink being not even geniune Epson Ink, was perfect and high quality. The problems that i had was after i set everything up, and was about to test print my first few CDs, the printer said something was blocking the printer head. I had to restart the printer several times, and restart the computer 2 times to get it back to working/printing condition. What i learned was that when you want to print on CDs, you turn on the printer, and wait until it has ... ...ebay, and really it does not affect image quality as i have been using Epson for years and never bought genuine epson branded ink. Plus you can save a lot by buying Epson (in particular R285) because you can buy a CISS system for it reducing your printing costs significantly!!! ...

A good simple printer
Review of HP LaserJet P1505n by
netgekko
Advantages: easy to use, cheap to run
Disadvantages: A bit on the flimsy side
With Ethernet 10/100 the H.P. LaserJet P1505n is an ideal desktop printer for the small or home office setup, great if you're fed up with the running costs of replacing ink cartridges in an ink based printer. The LaserJet P1505n is a small mono printer with a big toner cartridge so it won't take long to start saving money on running costs.
Quality is good with crisp clean results.
The P1505 is a very simple printer in every way, its easy to setup ... ...I found the pull down front to be a little on the flimsy side, however when its in use the panel is down and becomes the paper tray so this is a very minor issue. Being Hewlett Packard it is easy to repair and source parts should you ever need to. ...
