Great Printer!
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R285 by Selito206

Advantages: Perfect CD printing, Photo paper printing and normal paper printer quality!
Disadvantages: Large in size and has a few problems in CD printing (as explained in main review)

...ink being not even geniune Epson Ink, was perfect and high quality. The problems that i had was after i set everything up, and was about to test print my first few CDs, the printer said something was blocking the printer head. I had to restart the printer several times, and restart the computer 2 times to get it back to working/printing condition. What i learned was that when you want to print on CDs, you turn on the printer, and wait until it has ...
...ebay, and really it does not affect image quality as i have been using Epson for years and never bought genuine epson branded ink. Plus you can save a lot by buying Epson (in particular R285) because you can buy a CISS system for it reducing your printing costs significantly!!! ... Read review

CANON PIXMA IP4500
Review of Canon PIXMA IP4500 by Cyber-Mark

Advantages: sleek looks, not the ususal vanilla unit in the corner, quiet
Disadvantages: Slight premium when initially buying the printer, some ink can be expensive

...I was fearful of the Canon ink being at a premium. This has proved not to be the case, with the ink no dearer that other manufacturers. The cartridge set up on this printer lends itself to to ink economy with its separate units, and that is all before you even consider ink re-sellers. Quiet in operation, superb printing in all modes, including photo reproduction, excellent connectivity and great looks make this a definite recommendation ... Read review

Cheap to buy, costly to run
Review of Epson Stylus D92 by EviUK

Advantages: Well designed body, smudge-resistant inks
Disadvantages: inaccurate ink gauge, ink dries up, can't clean cartridges individually

The price was cheap. The design of the paper tray is good. This is the first printer I've had where the paper is not either dropped to the floor (my printer is on a shelf) or sucked back into the roller (Cannon) causing a jam. It had a sturdy feel. The set up instructions were inadequate and unnerving with bits of tape which I wasn't sure if I had to pull off or not before using. Although the ink was expensive, it boasted (and delivered) a reasonable ...
...a document printed on a Cannon!). I liked the idea of separate colour cartridges. I found the print quality perfectly acceptable and used the printer's options to lower the saturation. Draft quality was too poor to be useful but because the printer allows you save a Print Profile, I could set up a suitable equivalent. This latter feature has been very useful - I could specify paper size and orientation. It would have been more useful if it could ... Read review

What Would I Do Without This Printer!!!!
Review of Epson Stylus Color 880 by lfc-4-ever

Advantages: Great quality prints, good speed, ink cartridges cheap
Disadvantages: None!!!!

...The great thing about epson printers are that you have so many different options. There are about 20 different paper/card options. One of my favourite features is that you can print on different size paper this is great as you can print 6 by 4 photos and you can print onto envelopes You can lessen the quality and improve the speed or vice veresa. There is also photo enhance which I find very useful. There is an option to double side print. You can ...
...printer costs just over £100 pounds which might seem a lot but it is well worth it for it's quality and duribility. Once again I think epson have done very well and made a brilliant printer. I would 100% recommend this printer and I give it 10/10. Thank You ... Read review

The Epson R320 what an awesome little printer!!!
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R320 by Littlekel

Advantages: Photo quality is amazing and it is very speedy
Disadvantages: LCD screen could do with being a slight bit bigger

...my printer at home my Epson c66 broke and so i happily took this one back from work. The machine takes 6 cartridges black, magenta, cyan , yellow, light cyan and light magenta. The 'light' cartridges are what give the photos that extra quality compared to using just the 4 usual ones. The cartridges are also not very expensive compared to that of Lexmark and HP and although there are 6 you use less magenta and cyan than usual as they are coming from ...
...appropriate paper, i recommend the epson premium glossy photo paper which you can get in A4 or 4 x 6. The machine also has a tray you can insert so you can print directly on to CD's and DVD's which is extremely handy. You have to buy particular CD's and DVD's whci hare printable but this are not really any expensive than normal ones. I will warn you though that in my experience they take about 12 hours to dry which is fine if you dont need to do ... Read review
