Perfect Printer!!!
Review of HP LaserJet 1200 by
newby2
Advantages: works great
Disadvantages: none
Hp Laser Jet 1200
I am not much of a technical minded person but I do however know what Is good and what is bad for the things I need. This is a printer that sits on my desk at work and to be honest could do with a bit of an upgrade. It is though, perfect for everything that I need at work.
Because this printer is at work and prints a lot faster than my one at home I find myself printing most of my documents at the work place even those things ... ...because as I say this HP LaserJet 1200 prints a lot faster than my own home printer.
The LaserJet printer takes up rather a large amount of space on my tiny desk at work but because it is one of the most used things on the desk this is of course no trouble to me. I have had this particular printer for a few years and I think when we change premises, which is in the next few months, we will all be getting new equipment and I shall be sorry to see ...

Dell all in one
Review of Dell All in One 810 by
zomak24u
Advantages: Scanner is eay to use
Disadvantages: Print quality is quite poor
I got my laptop from dell which has served me well for about 3 years now. Since I bought my computer from dell, I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy a printer as well. Besides it was quite cheap and I felt it was a good bargin being an all in one printer which could scan, print and copy.
The good side is that the scanning features are user friendly and work quite well.
However, the down side which really makes this product a bit of a let ... ...than a photocopy. I couldn't use it for any of my school work. The ink finishes quickly and in a day I had bought two cartridges which are not available in most shops. The tri-color single cartridge is actually a disadvantage because the printer mixes the three colours to produce a 'black' print which doesn't really appear black. Also explains the quick ink shortage ...

A printer good for home use
Review of Canon PIXMA IP2500 by
Sweetpea1075
Advantages: Inexpensive, Nice design, modern looking, OK for everyday use
Disadvantages: Noisy, takes ages to start up, goes through ink quickly
...had broken. I have a Canon camera and know that Canon is a good well know brand. It also looks nice and modern and has a nice shiny black finish.
For the jobs that I want it to do at the moment, it performs well, although I am hoping to print out some large photo prints in the near future, so will be upgrading. For standard photos and written documents, it does the job nicely, although some of the colours on the photos did not come out the same ... ...the printer itself, as my PC may not be set up correctly.
The disadvantage is the amount of ink it uses. I have never used so much over the last few months, especially if you are printing out photos - it is not a cheap option. Much cheaper to get them done at processing lab or online. The ink is not cheap for this printer either, compared with other similar printers. Although I have found that even when it says it is empty, there is still actually ...

A good printer with added "bits"
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R300 by
Carrotts73
Advantages: good print quality, cheap copy cartridges, stand alone if needed
Disadvantages: none really
The Epson R300 is a good low cost Photo Printer. It has lots of useful features, for instance you can print direct from a camera, or pop a memory card into the reader on the front. If you're connected to a PC then it can use the memory card reader as well. It is also possible to attach a Bluetooth module and print direct from a camera phone, but I've not tried this. You can buy a colour LCD for it so that you can preview pictures before you print ... ...and it can knock 6x4 prints out in a minute or so. It also has the capability of printing direct onto white coated CD/DVDs if you want to make your Disks look smart!
I get my ink from eBay, and this does not seem to massively affect the quality of printouts but is much cheaper. The set up is very straightforward.
The printer has a little LCD screen that gives out status messages and other information, so it is worth remembering this before you ...
