HP Photosmart A526
Review of HP PhotoSmart A526 by
joe-survey
Advantages: Small, simple
Disadvantages: A bit too simple
The basic description
The HP photosmart A526 is a photograph printer that doesn't need a computer to use. It has a 2.4" LCD colour screen for previewing photos before you print. You scroll through the contents of your memory card and selct and print the photo you want. If you wish to edit any photos, you can plug it into a computer beforehand. The idea seems based around convenience and portablity.

HP Photosmart - A Smart Desicion!
Review of HP PhotoSmart A626 by
Gladallover
Advantages: Fun & Simple to use without a PC, loads of features, touchscreen
Disadvantages: Max paper size 5" x 7"
...I would definitely recommend the HP Photosmart A626 to them! The HP Photosmart A626 is a compact photo printer designed solely for photo printing. It can print on paper up to 5" x 7" although I tend to print standard postcard sized prints of 4" x 6" (A6). It boasts printing speeds of up to 39 seconds per 10x15cm colour print, although in my experience it usually takes more like 60 seconds per colour print (still not bad for good quality prints). ... ...navigate the touch screen, but HP do supply a stylus with the printer. It can be stored in a nifty little slot next to the display so it doesn't get lost, but even if it does HP will replace it for free as long as the printer in under warranty. Consumables
The HP A626 takes up to paper size 5"x7". Hp recommend their own brand although I always use cheap self adhesive glossy paper bought from eBay and I genuinely can not tell the difference in quality. ...

Can you beat a good all rounder?
Review of Canon Pixma MP180 by
aspebbles
Advantages: Easy to operate, multi function
Disadvantages: Small niggles
...Picture Quality ~ Canon have a reputation for high quality colour reproduction technology. For many years they led the field in mid-range SLR camera and printing techniques. I am not an expert on colour printing, so you should probably do further research if this is very important to you. The dpi, or dots per inch is: 4800 x 1200. (You can compare this with other models). I printed photographs (from a non-digiital camera) on ordinary copier paper, ... ...the following observation about the Canon printer (they used a Pixma 1800 for their tests): it produced 'excellent photos' on Canon's own premium brand paper, but for regular photo paper, they looked washed out adn and pale. (the best results for a canon paper came on Lemark everyday paper). This was not directly about printers, being a comparison test for photographc paper. I have read good recommendations about its print quality elsewhere, but ...

Advantages: Print Quality
Disadvantages: The Device Can Be Noisy When Waking Up
...This server allows HP laser to be used on different networks. It supports direct PDF printing as well as Internet Printing Protocol or the IPP. PostScript and PCL emulations are also there. Windows drivers are present within the printer itself. Linux and Apple Mac can be downloaded for free from the internet.
Installing and configuring CP3505x is pretty easy. It has a clear and small LCD display; which is required for local functioning. For setup ... ...can get also get hold of HP's JetAdmin product which uses SNMP console for managing the printer.
If you are interested in this printer, then you must devote some time shopping around. This is because its price might vary at different places and times. HP's CP3505x used to cost 800 pounds plus VAT when it was launched. Now its price has come down significantly. Even on HP's website, it costs 499 pounds + VAT which is too less as compared to the initial ...

Just Like My Brother
Review of Brother HL 4070CDW by
bennyong
Advantages: Wireless Printing
Disadvantages: Expensive
The Brother HL-4070CDW color laser printer is not cheap, but it does have a lot of extras and upgrades that warrants the price. Unlike previous models, this newer version will allow wireless connection, duplex print and postscript emulation. The input tray of this printer will hold 250 sheets of regular typing paper, while the multipurpose tray can hold up to 50.
With the LCD display screen, you will be able to know what job your printer is in the ... ...will alert you. When the Brother HL-4070CDW color laser printer is on or in printing mode, a green light will appear. During the process of making a change, the screen will flash orange, and a red screen will let you know that something is wrong and an error has occurred because of it. A red light can also mean that the covers are not completely closed, which could happen during the changing of your printers toner.
The ability to connect the Brother ...
