Excellent product - BEST ON THE MARKET
Review of DYMO LabelWriter 400 by tailorsanjay

Advantages: Quick, Small, Quiet, EASY to use, user friendly software, easy to deploy on the network
Disadvantages: Its too good!

...definitely THE BEST! The Dymo LabelWriter is amazing. It works via a network switch and print server when most printers/other label writers do not work. Its small, its SO user friendly with the DYMO Label Software. Its very very easy to fix faults when they arise (not very often) and its very quick and quiet. The LabelWriter software itself is one of a kind - it allows you to print labels in batches, via an addin in Word, Excel and Powerpoint - ...
...is excellent, especially with the DYMO personalified labels. I have 10 of these in my organisation and they are becoming extremely popular. The cost of these little things are next to none - most other label writers cost over £130!! Its so good that I've bought one for my own use at home. I would definitely recommend this product. ... Great Little Label Writer
Review of DYMO LabelWriter 400 Turbo by Blondie1005

Advantages: High
Disadvantages: No Colour Option

The Dymo Labelwriter 400 turbo is a superb little printer which comes with its own software that is really easy to use. It offers functions including barcode printing, plus add-ins for instant printing from Microsoft Word, Outlook, QuickBooks, ACT!, Goldmine, Palm Desktop version 4 or later, WordPerfect® and more. This little printer offers speeds of 55 labels a minute, an average of just over a second per label. However this never seems to happen ...
...I use the Labelwriter connected to my pc via a usb cable with no problems. I also have enabled sharing for it so other people can use it to. However these is a draw back with this that it can be quite slow printing when someone else prints. (Note this could be because of Pc but I am unable to prove/disprove this). In conclusion this is a great little label printer if you aren't printing 100's of labels at a time. ... Read review

Size is sometimes very important
Review of HP DesignJet 130 by Miskah

Advantages: Prints are massive and very high quality
Disadvantages: Big initial outlay - unlikely to be useful for the average home user.

...We decided to buy the HP DesignJet 130, A1 Inkjet Printer mainly due to its price but also because we were allowed to have a demonstration. It costs £820.12 excluding VAT (as we are a registered charity for fundraising purposes we don’t pay VAT) adding VAT to the price will raise it to £963.64. It does appear to be a large amount of money, but many other departments in the NHS and social services are in the same boat so we will be able to share ...
...cost which isn’t bad HP DesignJet 130, A1 Inkjet Printer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This printer is not as big as one would expect considering the size it prints out. Its dimensions are 1050 x 415 x 220 mm (W x D x H) and it weighs 22 kg. It has 6 individual ink cartridges; black, cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan and light magenta. The maximum paper size is 1625 mm x 625 mm (Length x Width) and it leaves a border of 5 mm at the ... Read review

Advantages: No ink or toner and very low maintence

...you want to use genuine Dymo or compatiable labels. Printing is quick and a bit noisy but nothing to disturbing. I have found the Dymo Customer Services extremely easy to deal with and very helpful with complete followup from the staff. Any problem resolved quickly and in a professional manner. A printer good for home use
Review of Canon PIXMA IP2500 by Sweetpea1075

Advantages: Inexpensive, Nice design, modern looking, OK for everyday use
Disadvantages: Noisy, takes ages to start up, goes through ink quickly

...had broken. I have a Canon camera and know that Canon is a good well know brand. It also looks nice and modern and has a nice shiny black finish. For the jobs that I want it to do at the moment, it performs well, although I am hoping to print out some large photo prints in the near future, so will be upgrading. For standard photos and written documents, it does the job nicely, although some of the colours on the photos did not come out the same ...
...the printer itself, as my PC may not be set up correctly. The disadvantage is the amount of ink it uses. I have never used so much over the last few months, especially if you are printing out photos - it is not a cheap option. Much cheaper to get them done at processing lab or online. The ink is not cheap for this printer either, compared with other similar printers. Although I have found that even when it says it is empty, there is still actually ... Read review
