Great Printer!
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R285 by Selito206

Advantages: Perfect CD printing, Photo paper printing and normal paper printer quality!
Disadvantages: Large in size and has a few problems in CD printing (as explained in main review)

...ink being not even geniune Epson Ink, was perfect and high quality. The problems that i had was after i set everything up, and was about to test print my first few CDs, the printer said something was blocking the printer head. I had to restart the printer several times, and restart the computer 2 times to get it back to working/printing condition. What i learned was that when you want to print on CDs, you turn on the printer, and wait until it has ...
...ebay, and really it does not affect image quality as i have been using Epson for years and never bought genuine epson branded ink. Plus you can save a lot by buying Epson (in particular R285) because you can buy a CISS system for it reducing your printing costs significantly!!! ... Read review

Canon Can!
Review of Canon PIXMA IP4500 by valleygirl82

Advantages: Great quality prints
Disadvantages: A little slow but the best comes to those who wait!

...models I came across the Canon Pixma IP4500. I bought this printer from Ebuyer for £63.00 which was much cheaper than some of the well-known electrical / computer stores. The printers design is simple - the body is mainly black with silver surroundings. It has the usual on/off button, cancel/feed button, and a button to switch between input trays. It doesn't have any memory card slots but does have a PictBridge USB port. This model has two paper ...
...tell the difference between my canon photo print compared to a lab print). I do find the photo prints to be a lot lighter than on-screen as it uses auto-correcting which you can disable. Overall this is the best printer I have had in years and would recommend it to anyone doing a little more than general printing as the ink can be quite expensive. Best of all my Scrapbooking hobby is alive and kicking as I no longer need to wait for professional ... Read review

Pretty good
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R360 by bennyT595

Advantages: Excellent for printing out pictures straight from the memory card
Disadvantages: Slow turning on

Well, what can i say its a printer........................ but a bloody good one. Lets face it, it does look good, i love the small lcd screen in the front. Erm i think the printing quality is excellent, and the ability to vary it by selecting the quality you want and what type of paper you want to use it for is useful, especailly if you want to just print out something rough and don't want to waste ink, which is another thing, the ink doesn't seem ... Epson D92
Review of Epson Stylus D92 by Bossjock

Advantages: Cheap, Excellent reproduction of Graphics
Disadvantages: Expensive Epson Ink, fiddly, insufficient choice of settings

As a user of Epson printers for a good number of years I was extremely disappointed with this Printer. The beauty of Epson for me has always been the low cost of Purchase as well as the ability to use compatible inks. I use mine heavily and so when it expired I could easily and cheaply replace it. As other reviewers have said, it is probably good only for occasional use however my problem, and why I won't buy another Epson, is that Epson deny you ...
...inks the chip on the Epson D92 told me the Ink had run out on 'Black' after only a few prints. On inspecting the Cartridge it was 2/3rds full, I then had to 'trick' the Printer into thinking I'd replaced the cartridge altogether, something a less experienced user might not know how to do, and something I don't want to be doing too often either as it is tedious and should be unnecessary. Epson previously gave a choice of accept / reject along with ... Read review

Great for the money and size.
Review of Canon Laser Shot LBP 5000 by hazeydazey

Advantages: Colour, compact compared to other laser and fits on desktop, laser.
Disadvantages: Still quite large compared to an ink jet.

I bought one of these babies because I hate inkjets and love laser. This was the only one I could really afford which was small enough to fit on my desktop and had colour. Laser printers are better than inkjets because they give a crisp and professional look to word documents and spreadsheets. Even with a fine quality inject it still looks home-made unless it is on hideously expensive paper. Therefore the LBP 5000 it makes my assignments look great. ...
...pictures which sends shivers down my spine with excitement. It is generally understood that lasers are far better value for money on a long-term basis. When you replace cartridges in an injet they can cost £15 plus for each colour. A replacement toner cartridge for the LBP5000 laser printer is around £50, however they need replacing far less frequently. I have had mine for six months and have gone through at least two reams of paper and still have ... Read review
