Cheaper than online dating …
Review of Tally Colour Laser 8008 by Plymyphil

Advantages: Attractive, quiet, very fast
Disadvantages: Expensive, unreliable, ridiculous pricing structure for consumables that fail

The Tally 8008 looks stunning. It stands proud in the corner of our ICT Suite offering visitors a tangible sensation of cutting edge reprographics. The best way to admire the machine however is on 'standby' for when you begin to demand of it the Tally 8008 provides a fantastic advert for other printing companies. Fortunately, the Tally came with a five year on site warranty, hence my lead for this review; "Cheaper than online dating …". Our administrator ...
...has of her own husband. Tally field services is stored on the phone's of most of those with the authority to initiate a field call. So, what makes this machine so unreliable? I wish I knew. As a school potentially we do give the machine heavy use but then it is sold as a workgroup printer and consequently we should be permitted to expect the printer to function effectively on a small network. Unfortunately, the Tally 8008 has an array of consumable ... Read review

Good quality printer, fair price
Review of OKI C 3300n by goldfishlou

Advantages: Inexpensive, networked, good-quality output, inexpensive toner
Disadvantages: Could be faster

The OKI 3300n is a professional piece of kit. OKI isn't the most obvious brand, but we were lucky enough to see several of their more recent products demonstrated at a trade show. The design of the gear is nothing very visually special, but the print quality is simply excellent. As a result of that meeting, we picked up one of these for small business use, and liked it enough that we bought another. On the one hand, there's a temptation to buy all-in-one ...
...is a very good printer. OKI build quality is pretty good. Print quality is outstanding, especially given the relatively high colour print speed of 12ppm. It goes without saying that if you're after a plain black-and-white device, this is not the one to go for. If you're not looking for a printer with network capabilities (and if you're not in an office environment, there's a reasonable likelihood that you aren't) then again this is unlikely to be ... OKI lazer printer cheap and cheerful
Review of OKI C 3200 by giles-y

Advantages: Cheap, Quick
Disadvantages: Heavy, running cost

The Oki C3200 lazer printer was great value purchase. i got mine for £160 which for a lazer printer full of toner is actually quite cheap. the printer its self is quite big and can only do up to A4. it also weights a bit so pick a spot where it will live because you wont ever feel like moving it. Using 4 color toner cartridiges (cyan, magenta, yellow, black.) the printer preduces great quality prints, thats once it warms, takes about 2mins in my ...
...the pages one after another almost no pause between pages, it seems to take less than 2 seconds per page. For the size of this printer i was suprised that it only holds 500 sheets of paper which means regular trips back to it. the upkeep can work out expencive depending on how much you use it toner prices start at £24 for 1,500 page black cartdrige then £43 for each other color so a whole set of cartdriges costs £153 which is just £7 short of the ... Quality, speed and a big price
Review of Tally Colour Laser T8006 by robmarks

Advantages: Good quality pictures, reasonably fast
Disadvantages: Heavy, bulky and very expensive

This product was my first purchase of a colour laser printer, which was bought for my office at work. The price was £899. Not the cheapest but I was assured by the supplier that the quality was very good. Indeed the quality is good. I'm very impressed by the high standard of prints, both colour and mono. It performs particularly well on photographs, which are reproduced in excellent quality with an almost glossy finish. The printer comes with 64Mb ...
...seem. The printer is certainly fast, whipping out colour prints fairly quickly. Sadly, despite its speed and quality, this printer has some fairly big disadvantages. Firstly there is no auto duplex, which costs extra. The printer also seems to struggle with all but plain copier paper, which is a pity when you want colour pics on glossy paper. Be prepared for a heavy product. This weighs a ton. It took two people to lift the box and move it into ... Read review
