Good older printer
Review of HP LaserJet 4000n by
nig6
Advantages: Quick, reliable and good quality
Disadvantages: Old now and only black and white
I have one of these as my printer and work, and have used the same model for many years.
The printer does look dated now to be honest, as it is an older design, but it looks functional and has an LCD screen on the top of the printer that shows the menus and error messages.
Below the screen is a green button to turn the printer on and offline and a couple of other buttons to navigate the simple to use menu.
This is an A4 printer so will only print ... ...and the manual feed. There is an indicator on the outside of the paper tray to show how much paper is in the printer without removing the tray - very useful!
As this is only a mono laser printer, naturally it only prints in black and white, it is very quick to print and the quality is very good.
This printer is very easy to use, changing the cartridge is really easy too!
So in summary, a good printer not manufactured anymore - but parts and consumables ...

Cheap Printer
Review of Lexmark Z 735 by
matty168
Advantages: Cheap,Easy to install
Disadvantages: cheap design,expensive to run,limited
Lexmark are a fairly well known brand and generally do cheap printers and all in one printer and scanners. The Lexmark Z 735 printer is basic printer and comes with one colour cartridge which will print both colour and black for you however if you likely to be justy printing black then i would suggest buying a black ink cartiridge. However be prepared to fork out at least £20 as lemark ink carts are very pricey. In some cases it is actually better ... ...set or ink cartiridges for a printer which is a complete waste!.
The printer is supplied with a manual, printer power cable and the driver installation CD . The look and feel of the printer is rather cheap but i suppose this is expected for this price. It is also a a fair sized printer too and isn't the prettiest looking printer i've ever seen.
In order to set-up the printer,it is just a matter of plugging in the usb cable into the usb port, inserting ...

HP Just do the job
Review of HP Deskjet D1460 by
com235
Advantages: Small, Quick, Software Great
Disadvantages: Loud
I love this printer. This printer is so small but can print so fast. The thing in my mind that makes this printer stick out to me in my mind is the fact that the driver software on the computer is brill it allows you to choose what type of printing you will be doing for example if you are just going to be printing a page of a website you would just selete general everyday printing. If you were printing a photo you would click on photo printing so ...

I'm glad this Brother isn't related to me!
Review of Brother HL 1450 by
anonymili
Advantages: Can't actually think of any right now
Disadvantages: Constant paper jams and print spool errors are really irritating
~*~ INTRODUCING MY BROTHER ~*~
I have used this printer both at home and at work - when I used it at work, I was between offices, so didn't get the full brunt of just how useless this printer can be at times - had I known I wouldn't have bothered to get one for home use as it's almost worse than having no laser printer at all. The latest (and cheapest) price I could find online for one of these was £237 which is way too expensive as far as I'm concerned ... ...able to pinpoint why the Brother jams so often, but apparently I'm not the only one who finds this, I've spoken to various ex-colleagues who used this printer regularly and they had nothing nice to say about it either. Cheap and cheerful? Well cheap it might be but cheerful it certainly aint! I can be using the printer to print off documents in Word or Excel then suddenly out of nowhere I get a print spooler error, I never had this problem with any ...
