Cheap to buy, costly to run
Review of Epson Stylus D92 by EviUK

Advantages: Well designed body, smudge-resistant inks
Disadvantages: inaccurate ink gauge, ink dries up, can't clean cartridges individually

The price was cheap. The design of the paper tray is good. This is the first printer I've had where the paper is not either dropped to the floor (my printer is on a shelf) or sucked back into the roller (Cannon) causing a jam. It had a sturdy feel. The set up instructions were inadequate and unnerving with bits of tape which I wasn't sure if I had to pull off or not before using. Although the ink was expensive, it boasted (and delivered) a reasonable ...
...a document printed on a Cannon!). I liked the idea of separate colour cartridges. I found the print quality perfectly acceptable and used the printer's options to lower the saturation. Draft quality was too poor to be useful but because the printer allows you save a Print Profile, I could set up a suitable equivalent. This latter feature has been very useful - I could specify paper size and orientation. It would have been more useful if it could ... Read review

A printer that has lasted
Review of Epson Stylus C84 by tafili2007

Advantages: Long Lasting
Disadvantages: NONE

I have had this printer since it was first released, it is starting to show its wear and tear now but it is stil good to use. I have used this printer way above the normal average and have also put materials through to print on. The Cost: When I first got the printer it was nearly £200 but now you can get them a lot cheaper as there is more advanced technology available. The technology: Most of the technology is stated at the top of ths review. ...
...it fixed is very cheap, i paid £10 to have new ink layers put into the printer and now it will last me at least another year. It had USB cable that connects to the computer and 3 main buttons n top that control, paper, on/off and ink levels. The on screen message shows images and percentages of teh ink that is left for each colour. The perfomance: it is brilliant! I have ha dit about 3 years now and i have only fixed it once which cost £10. The ... Read review

Perfect photo's for your children's children...
Review of Epson Stylus C86 Photo Edition by buddhatoe

Advantages: A3+ glossy photos that'll last a lifetime... nearly.
Disadvantages: None that I've seen so far.

Yes, it's true! Epson have developed a digital colour photo printer which they claim prints photo's that will have a fade resistance of over 80 years. Wow, no more scabby old, faded pics of yesteryear... These claims do come after extensive research of their new UltraChrome Hi-Gloss inks, allbeit under glass and accelerated light tests. Anyway, after buying my new iMac, I wanted something which I could use at home to complement my scanner and cheap ...
...£60 and was recommended the Epson Stylus Photo R1800. I read a few reviews and decided it was the one for me. The main reasons were the simulated 8 colour printing and the printable size. The answer is black... The way Epson get their rich, glossy look is to do with the two ink tanks filled with matte and gloss black which compliment the other six colours to produce amazing results on various paper sources including gloss, matte, film, parchment ... although its cheap it does the job!
Review of Epson Stylus D78 by murphy747

Advantages: cheap, quick and simple to use
Disadvantages: very expensive ink and prone to leaving streaks

this printer is very much a basic printer, it is quite prone to clogging and leaving streaks on the paper, and recently has decided that it likes to eat paper! saying this though, it was a very cheap printer and does the job quite well, it is not too bad on ink, however doing a comparison against my old printer (same make) it seems to use a lot more black ink. and although the printer was extremely cheap and worth the money, the ink is more expensive ...
...printer was made before feb 07 there are no compatible ink cartridges and the built in chip cannot be tamperede with, but if the printer was made after feb 07, compatibles can be bought. but how you tell exactly when the printer was made, how long had it been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse! i do love the printer, its quite fast and quite clear for its lower end price bracket, and has detachable paper shelfs. great for small spaces. ...
