It aint heavy, its my Brother!
Review of Brother DCP-7010 Multifunction by cbzcbz

Advantages: Excellent print quality. Easy to use and setup, reasonabley cheap to run.
Disadvantages: slightly noisy fan when printing.

...Setting up of the Brother DCP7010 was very easy. Firstly, decide if you wish to use the parallel port or USB port (cable not included). Then simply load the driver CD into your CD drive, and follow on screen instructions until prompted to connect the unit to your PC and switch on. Simply setup which language you want on the units LCD display and away you go! FEATURES AND WHAT ITS LIKE TO USE : The laser printing function works at speeds of up to ...
...cost approx £35 for genuine brother cartridges. You can get refilled cartridges for approx £25-30 also but my experience with refilled cartridges is that they don't last as long as genuine ones. The drum lasts for 12,000 pages or every 5 toner cartridges and costs around £55. Based on once used for 12,000 pages, this equates to a running cost of £230 when using genuine brother toners/drum or 1.92 pence per page. Which considering a lot of places ... Read review

What a performance by Brother
Review of Brother HL 2030 by natty250

Advantages: Affordable, good quality,
Disadvantages: USB connection only

...printers I plumped for the Brother HL-2030. It also has its bigger 'brothers' (sorry pun unintended at time of writing) the HL-2040 and HL-2070, but I didn't think the 2040 offered much more for the money, and whilst I would have ideally liked a network printer it was out of my budget. So - to the main point of this review - what is it like??? *** Appearance *** It comes packaged well, in a sturdy box, with the instructions, and driver CDs easily ...
...in a plain (grey) get-on-with-the-job way. It is very small, official dimensions list it as being W 371mm, D 361mm, H 166mm. And it has an integrated paper tray holding 250 sheets. All this make it a compact, and lightweight device able to take its place on the desktop without being an eye-sore, or tucked on a shelf/under a desk. *** Installation *** The printer comes with two sets of driver CDs. One for Windows Vista, and one for Windows XP and ... Read review

Finally a good pinter
Review of Brother HL 2040 by cja5

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: USB connection

I was despirate to buy a new printer as cartridges where costing me a fortune and so laser was the way forward. I am a student so I was on a budget and I saw this printer was priced well and bit the bullet. I am very surprised by it actually. It is a little temporamentle to set up with the USB especially if you are still running 1.1.....but after that it is plain sailing. I have had it over a year now and am still using the free cartridge that has ...
...printing slightl;y to excess and still it is going strong. It prints very fast and the quality (when st to high - photo) is exceptional. This is definately one to consider when you want a printer. The free cartridge lasts for what seems like ever and it is so easy to use ..... plug it in (finally set it up) and you are away. It was be a litle hot sometimes that conerns me but it hasn't had anything happen to it. I liked it so much I bought a second ... Read review

2070N for small business- is it right for me.
Review of Brother HL 2070N by jrowleyuk

Advantages: sensibly priced network printer
Disadvantages: basically just a 2040 in new colours

...enough'. I like the Brother printers having used them for several years. This one should have been a better step than it was, a little disappointed. I wouldnt really recommend this to a business unless it was relatively small. We will be lookin
