Great for the money and size.
Review of Canon Laser Shot LBP 5000 by
hazeydazey
Advantages: Colour, compact compared to other laser and fits on desktop, laser.
Disadvantages: Still quite large compared to an ink jet.
I bought one of these babies because I hate inkjets and love laser. This was the only one I could really afford which was small enough to fit on my desktop and had colour.
Laser printers are better than inkjets because they give a crisp and professional look to word documents and spreadsheets. Even with a fine quality inject it still looks home-made unless it is on hideously expensive paper. Therefore the LBP 5000 it makes my assignments look great. ... ...pictures which sends shivers down my spine with excitement.
It is generally understood that lasers are far better value for money on a long-term basis. When you replace cartridges in an injet they can cost £15 plus for each colour. A replacement toner cartridge for the LBP5000 laser printer is around £50, however they need replacing far less frequently. I have had mine for six months and have gone through at least two reams of paper and still have ...

Would definately buy again
Review of Canon LBP 1120 by
C.Laslett
Advantages: Cheap, easy to use and install
Disadvantages: Doesn't seem to warn you when toner is low
...find the disk. Support from Canon (telephone) was excellent and the software can be downloaded online.
There is no LCD screen but most functions can be dealt with through the pc-based monitor. I don't seem to have figured out a way of knowing when the toner is low though so make sure you have a spare on hand. I didn't and had to spend 3 days waiting for the mail-order toner to arrive! My local PCWorld doesn't stock the toner for this but it was ... ...all stock it). Prices range from £30-£50 a time so shop around. Each cartridge supposedly does around 4000 pages.
When you switch the printer on, it doesn't take long (just a few secs) before it starts printing. A lovely funky blue light on the front lets you know it's switched on. The operation is plenty fast enough for me (10ppm) and it is reasonably quiet. The paper holder holds a reasonable amount of paper (at least 100 pgs) and you can choose ...

Canon Fire Off A Good Printer
Review of Canon LBP 800 by
polydeuces
Advantages: Quiet, easy to use, reliable
Disadvantages: None
...I now have a Canon S800 and I bought it mainly to indulge in my new passion of digital photography. The Canon is a little bigger than the HP was. It is about the same width but a little deeper and higher. It is finished in a high quality two tone effect which looks quite attractive. Overall the printer appears to be more solid than the HP did but the HP was a budget printer and the S800 runs in at £300. The paper feeds in through the rear and before ... ...old HP made. The Canon scores though in providing the best quality inkjet quality I have ever seen. It is practically at laser standard but without the exhorbitant cost. It is also good because the running costs of the Canon are reasonable too. The ink cartridges seem to last quite a good time in comparison with the HP. One problem I often found with the HP was its tendency to over-ink things. The Canon does not do this.
Another good feature is ...

Lay Out More For Cheaper Prints
Review of Canon LBP 660 by
BNibbles
Advantages: Low running cost per page of print - not fussy about paper, and toner approx. £35 p.a.
Disadvantages: Slightly dearer to buy and only monochrome.
...I have been using my Canon LBP-660 in a home office environment for over three years so don’t expect this to be a current model any more. However, much of what I am about to say could apply to any entry-level laser printer, Canon or not. A lot of people will think that, because they need a printer including a colour capability, that they must stick to an inkjet of some kind. Well, of course in the case of the colour requirement, they’d be right, ... ...the initial outlay on the Canon by now, I should think.
Therein lies my argument – horses for courses. A laser is a higher outlay but cheap to run. An inkjet is cheap to buy and dear to run. You pays yer money……….
Having both is great. Modern printers will no doubt be USB ported, so connection will be no problem. Both of mine are still steam-powered parallel connected. At first I used a switch box for this, but it is one other thing you have to ...

REALLY FOR OFFICE USE
Review of HP Color LaserJet CP1515n by
packerlist
Advantages: ONE CLICK PRINT AND FOR OFFICE USE.
Disadvantages: BIG.
...use and professional functions. The hp printer is the best among all the printers that I have come across because of the efficiency and innovative features. It is also the laser printer type and it has marvelous color productions. This is my favorite printer in terms of office use and it is quite durable and strong. Its range of features is quite vast and on the other hand, it is very easy with company's helpful support. But for your information, ... ...among all the printers. The HP printer comes in a large white colour about 25.4m tall and heavy.
Very easy to install and use. But instruction should be a better guide for installation. Quite durable and strong and have not gotten any repairs since in use. It has a lot of connectivity like the USB port that links the computer and the printer.
The HP printer has wide range of features and I will recommend this to offices and can also be used in ...
