A must-buy for any avid photographer
Review of Epson PictureMate 280 by pintodm

Advantages: It's compact size, portability, high quality photo printing at an affordable price.
Disadvantages: Like any printer, it's the paper and ink that are a huge investment.

After the iPod, this is the best purchase I've made in years. Having read a raving review of this product in Which? magazine, I was immediately tempted to buy it - and I'm so glad I did. This printer is ever so compact and small, and easily portable, whilst having incredible functionality including the removal of red eye, cropping and the creation of borders. The quality of the photos is amazing with high quality resolution, and a photo is printed ...
...to anyone as a gift for someone else or simply for themselves, as it enables you to ensure that photos don't just stay on your cameras, or on your laptops, but that you can fill photo albums with unbeatable memories. And the best thing is that it is available at a very reasonable price. I paid £129 at John Lewis. ... Read review

Possible Design Fault - Don't Buy It!!!
Review of HP OfficeJet Pro K5400dn by MissPrim

Advantages: cost effective, high volume printing for small office
Disadvantages: Problem when trying to print double sided (duplexing)

Unfortunately, the HP OfficeJet Pro K5400dn printer features looked good on the website and I fell for it! I ordered 2 HP OfficeJet Pro K5400dn printers for work. After setting up the first one, and testing it, it kept chewing up the paper as the print carriage was catching it when using double sided printing (duplexing), so sent it back and got a replacement. The second one seemed to work fine except for the odd chewing of paper when double sided, ...
...so sent this back also. The first replacement worked fine for the most part for about 4 weeks and then starting chewing again so sent it back with the second replacement which I didn't bother taking out of the box. This is why I would not recommend this printer at all. ... Read review

HP PhotoSmart Pro B9180
Review of HP PhotoSmart Pro B9180 by my_user

Advantages: Printer quality will lost for many many years
Disadvantages: please check my Drawbacks list with this printer:

I had brought this printer particularly to print my beautiful photos. Based on my experience the photos quality is simply superb. I have stuck few A3 size (bigger scenery photos) photos on my room walls without any laminations, already few months ago and I'm cleaning dust with cloth once in a while but still the photo print quality is very good, not seen even small shading on the print. I never had seen this kind of print quality in my life time. ...
...Drawbacks with this printer: • It takes hell a lot of time to initialize the printer (minimum 15 to 20 minutes) by this time your 5 to 10% of ink cartridge will become empty. • It consumes too much of ink and ink bags are sky high price. • After a few months the whole printer with full of aerosol ( full of ink) • Printing time is very very….slow • Very bad paper skew happens once in a while (particularly when you print ...
