The price was cheap. The design of the paper tray is good. This is the first printer I've had where the paper is not either dropped to the floor (my printer is on a shelf) or sucked back into the roller (Cannon) causing a jam. It had a sturdy feel. The set up instructions were inadequate and unnerving with bits of tape which I wasn't sure if I had to pull off or not before using. This Epson printer looks like a quite poor quality family home printer. I don't mean its design as it actually looks quite cool. However just because its shape looks like all the other rubbish quality printers that came before. This printer however is really good quality, and Epson even boast it makes a sensible alternative to a laser printer in the home or office. ...than a laser printer, infact a lot cheaper. you could buy on of these for around £50, where as a laser printer could cost anything up to £500 and might not even be as good quality. What I meant by this printer looks like any other, is that its got a simple body, a paper feeder at the top and a slot at the bottom, where you printed documents come out of. ...The great thing about epson printers are that you have so many different options. There are about 20 different paper/card options. One of my favourite features is that you can print on different size paper this is great as you can print 6 by 4 photos and you can print onto envelopes You can lessen the quality and improve the speed or vice veresa. What is it that youy want out of an inkjet printer? - something that prints good quality prints fairly quickly and doing this quietly. After buying this model for around £60, this is what i expected, even if it was not absolutely perfect, being relatively cheap. The first problem which i have found is that the print speed is extremely slow. Fow black & white the speed is meant to be 14 ppm (pages per minute) and for colour it is supposed to be 13.9 ppm.
