Advantages: Prints are massive and very high quality Disadvantages: Big initial outlay - unlikely to be useful for the average home user.
...We decided to buy the HP DesignJet 130, A1 Inkjet Printer mainly due to its price but also because we were allowed to have a demonstration. It costs £820.12 excluding VAT (as we are a registered charity for fundraising purposes we don’t pay VAT) adding VAT to the price will raise it to £963.64.
It does appear to be a large amount of money, but many other departments in the NHS and social services are in the same boat so we will be able to share ... ...cost which isn’t bad

Advantages: quick, crisp printing Disadvantages: none so far :)

I spec'd this printer for one of my clients based on speed, resolution, duty cycle and price. In these respects it's a great printer. What I was not prepared for is the SIZE of this behemoth! Looking at the physical dimensions on paper does not give a mental image of the thing. In photos it looks like any normal laser printer. The person I installed it for asked to have it removed from his office after seeing how huge it is.
We also had to send it back for repairs immediately after installation because (we were later told) a piece of tape had not been removed from the ETB. If you don't know what an ETB is (it's the Electrostatic Transfer Belt) ...
