A very pretty picture
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R800 by Miskah

Advantages: superb picture quality, borderless prints, speed, quietness, versatility, ease of use yet plenty of gadgets
Disadvantages: doesnt have a built-in card reader

I’d like to share this Epson printer with you. It is well worth the investment if you want high quality prints with superb colour. • The printer is able to provide ‘borderless’ prints although in reality the A4 and over prints actually have a 2 mm border approx which isn’t bad at all. It gives true borderless prints on papers 4" x 6", 5" x 7", and 8" x 10" in size • The maximum paper size it takes is 215.9 mm x 355.6 mm ( classed as legal : A4 is ...
...a selection of software including Epson Print CD Software and PRINT Image Matching II Plug-In for Adobe Photoshop 6.0, 7.0 and Elements (all titles are PC and Macintosh compatible, P.I.M. - and Exif Print-enabled). Simply brilliant!
Review of Epson Stylus Photo 1400 by il_cacciatore

Advantages: A3+ capability, CD/DVD printing function, Resolution, Pict Bridge Port, Colour depth.
Disadvantages: Bulky (but to be expected?), no ISB cable or firewire port, Plastic build.

...☼ My long lived Epson C42 plus gave up the ghost a while back so I decided to invest in a new printer. I’ve stayed loyal to Epson as there were no alternatives similar in specification and ability out on the market just now in the same price bracket as the Stylus 1400. I chose this printer as I want a printer that can print high quality photographs from digital and scanned photographs, something capable of A3 print size to print technical ...
...at £9.45 each for oem Epson cartridges. ☼ Packaging ☼ The box it comes packed in is a bit bulky as it is an A3 printer though it features carry handles to make life easier. It is well styled and describes key points of the printer in different languages. My box contained: ☺Software CD ☺Six ink cartridges (described later) ☺Power cable ☺Warranty Card ☺Quick Start Guide ☺CD print tray contraption ... Read review

Epson R285
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R285 by wilding2004

Advantages: Print quality, low price, individual inks
Disadvantages: Slightly bulky design

...printers the best results come with using the best photo paper, and amazingly this printer was bundled with a pack of 7x5 Epson Premium Glossy paper. I tend to use this printer for making A4 size copies of select photos. It really does justice to high resolution imagery. ... Read review

5 Years and Still Going Strong
Review of Epson Stylus Photo 700 by northern_lights

Advantages: Cheap to run on compatible inks - lasts well
Disadvantages: Envelopes don't always feed through properly

...If you buy official Epson cartridges it would cost a fortune - I just checked on the internet and the black cartridges is £16.99 and the colour one is £14.49 (strange the black is cheaper, but that's what it says!) However, I refuse to pay these ridiculous prices and I buy my compatible inks from www.aktivdirect.co.uk - currently 2 black and 2 colour for £15.99. I've used these inks right from the start and now as my printer is 5 years old, I think ...
...has had no adverse effect on my printer or on the quality of the print. The printer has a light which flashes red when the cartridges need to be replaced - but ignore that - keep printing until the ink actually isn't on the paper any more - which can be several days (or even weeks later!) The light seems to start flashing when there is still loads of ink left. On our old Gateway PC it was easy to check the ink levels as it came up as part of the ... Read review

HP PhotoSmart Pro B9180
Review of HP PhotoSmart Pro B9180 by my_user

Advantages: Printer quality will lost for many many years
Disadvantages: please check my Drawbacks list with this printer:

I had brought this printer particularly to print my beautiful photos. Based on my experience the photos quality is simply superb. I have stuck few A3 size (bigger scenery photos) photos on my room walls without any laminations, already few months ago and I'm cleaning dust with cloth once in a while but still the photo print quality is very good, not seen even small shading on the print. I never had seen this kind of print quality in my life time. ...
...Drawbacks with this printer: • It takes hell a lot of time to initialize the printer (minimum 15 to 20 minutes) by this time your 5 to 10% of ink cartridge will become empty. • It consumes too much of ink and ink bags are sky high price. • After a few months the whole printer with full of aerosol ( full of ink) • Printing time is very very….slow • Very bad paper skew happens once in a while (particularly when you print ...
