Epson Stylus Photo R280 Photo Printer review Advantages: PRINTING CD's AND DVD's Disadvantages: Poor paper handling--but see addendum ...cardstock. I went through the Epson website trouble shooting screens, and I discovered that the maximum paper weight it can handle is 24 pounds (that's the weight of fine office stationery). Cardstock is usually 50 or 60 pound weight. If I had discovered this earlier, I would have purchased a different printer. As it was, I think Epson made the specifications too vague, by specifying cardstock rather than the weight of usable paper. Addendum: In ... ...paper jam could be reduced by feeding sheets one at a time. I tried it, and the printer worked like a charm--smooth paper feeding and fast printing. The only drawback is that I must stand by the printer and feed each sheet of cardstock one at a time. I should mention that Epson, unlike many vendors, includes high-capacity ink cartridges in the box. Excellent Printer From Canon Advantages: Excellent Print Quality, Fast Printing, Reasonable Price Disadvantages: None ...My old printer was a Canon and although it was playing up it had served me well for about three years of constant use. I also think the design of the Canon printers is very good, I think they are far better to look at than most other makes and this is quite important when you are going to be looking at it everyday, sat on your desk. My new printer, like my old one, would be printing black only 99% of the time but occasionally I like to print a photo out and so it needed to be good in this area also. Simply brilliant! Advantages: A3+ capability, CD/DVD printing function, Resolution, Pict Bridge Port, Colour depth. great for pro photographers Advantages: Professional A2 printing for under £1000. Disadvantages: Large size, but not compared to other A2 printers ...smaller Epson printers which often only contain about 8ml of ink. If you are doing a lot of printing the Epson pro 4800 might be a better choice with it's larger 240ml cartridges and the ability to use roll paper. Quality over Quantity Advantages: Great quality Disadvantages: Slow, high cost ...printer in question was the HP OfficeJet K7100. It retails around £190 and was of far higher quality than the other school printers. My experience I was printing one black and white sheet of guitar tablature. There was not a lot of printing to be done and i expected it to be out by the time reached the printer. This, however, was not the case. It didn't take too long but for what i was printing i thought it was a while. (It took around 40 seconds). ... ...plain sheet, but from past experience i know it can print in very good quality. A full colour sheet will come out in great detail and it can print photographs in great detail too. The only thing i will say was that it was a little smudged.
