Colour Laser That Punches Above its Price Range
Review of Konica Minolta Magicolor 5430 DL by
AaronC
Advantages: Colour Print Speed, Print Quality, Network Ready, Fewer Consumables
Disadvantages: Lack of Seperate Paper Feed
This is Konica Minolta's first "in house" manufactured Printer, and the effort required to make a good first impression certainly shows. It is sturdy looking without being too utilitarian.
Photo quality is good, there is room for improvement, but this would only be required/desired if you were perhaps involved in the graphics industry. At 2400dpi though, it certainly gives detailed enough photo's. I have seen Estate Agent Particulars printed with ... ...the 20 Colour PPM that Konica Minolta quote in their Specifications.
The printer has stamina, with a duty cycle of 60K pages per month. This is quite enough for most small to medium sized offices.
In my experience mostly Estate Agents and Schools purchase this Printer. The quick throughput and Network connectivity suits them perfectly.
For a little over £300, you are getting a printer which gives performance way over what should be expected at ...

A cheap, high quality colour laser printer
Review of Konica Minolta Magicolor 2550 by
Paulshistory
Advantages: Small, excellent quality output, takes glossy paper and networkable too
Disadvantages: Slow to print in full colour
...good, in my opinion. Konica Minolta describe the print resolution as PhotoART-9600TM resolution (600 x 600 x 4) and I have to say that it's excellent.
The printer weighs almost 20 kg, and takes only a few minutes to set up from the accompanying instructions and CD ROM. A huge benefit, not often seen in a printer at this price, is that apart from parallel and USB connections, the printer also comes with an ethernet connection. This means that it ... ...ethernet cable. Whilst this may sound a bit confusing, if you've got a home network you'll know that if a printer is connected to one PC, then even if you're using a different PC, the one that is connected to the printer must be turned on to enable you to print. Well, with this printer, if it's connected via the ethernet cable to the network, then you don't need to leave any other computers on - you simply print from the computer that you're using ...

Lexmark is very reliable
Review of Lexmark X3580 by
lulabell87
Advantages: wifi, screen
Disadvantages: 2 separate ink cartridges
...ago, i have always had lexmark printers, and i really liked the design of this one. It is an all in one, so a printer, scanner and copier, and the price ranges from around £30-50 which i think is reasonably good value for money. It takes two print cartridges, one black on colour, the numbers are 3 and 4 cartridges respectively, which are also fairly cheap. at between £13-18 depending on where you purchase them, I find the fact that it has separate ... ...just have one cartridge for both, as i personally use a lot more black than colour, so i only have to replace whichever one is needed as opposed to the whole cartridge, when there may still be colour ink left in it. It has an extendable tray which you can pull out while it is printing to catch the paper, and the buttons are easy to use. It was also very easy to install, with no major problems arising. It also has a good warning system of when the ...
