Disadvantages: Just remember it is a dot matrix

...I have used these printers on and off for over 12 years. They are generally reliable and good for a 9 pin dot matrix. Some early ones had problems with weak drive gears, but later ones are fine. I had to go through about 50 of these looking for dodgy gears and replacing them!!!!! They support both IBM and EPSON control codes and have an easy to use menu which prints as it goes. They are available with both Centronics and RS232 sockets. Extras include various tractor feed modules. For business use with pre printed stationary they are excellent and are my favourite DMP. Scoring Picture Quality, well it is a dot matrix hence poor. it is also mono. Advantages: Good value, lots of adjustable features
Disadvantages: Poor viewing angles

.... The monitor comes with some easy to follow set up instructions and a disc for downloading which contains a User's Manual, Quick Guide and Acrobat Reader. Space is limited on the landing where I had decided to house the computer system, so I had to buy quite a narrow workstation. Having a flat screen has allowed plenty of room for a keyboard, printer, scanner, speakers and mouse mat with space left over for writing and reading books and completing household paperwork. Acer have three ranges of monitor: Prestige Line, Office Line, Value Line - with the Prestige Line obviously being the most expensive. Screen sizes go from 15", which I would say was too small, to 20" - rather large for general use. Advantages: not a bad machine
Disadvantages: Mesh support

...covered by warranty. But, only return to base. They said they would send out return labels. So back it went again! When my pc came back, it was fixed, but the sound was odd. It kept going loud and soft, so I phoned Mesh again. After 45 minutes of; “All our operators are busy. Your call is important to us, please hold” When they answered, I was very abruptly told, “This is a software issue, call our software help line. (Calls are charged at 50p per minute”) I told him, ”That it may be a soft ware issue, but it was one they created” I was told “if you don’t like it, phone customer services, and complain.” This I did. I was told to try reinstalling the sound soft ware, and if that did not work, reinstall windows. I tried the sound software bit, but it made no difference. So I began to reinstall windows.
