Prism 50DVD

Advantages: Stylish Player, Stylish Price.
Disadvantages: Dodgy Remote Control and Instruction manual.

...At a price like this, £70, a quality DVD player would be a really good deal. When that DVD player comes with 50 movies it's an absolute steal! The first thing that strikes you about the Prism DVD Player is the Quality. It is very well made for the price and would embarrass some more well known (and more expensive!) manufacturers. The front panel has a really 'expensive' looking mirror finish which sets off the blue LCD display well. This player looks sexy! The rear panel boasts a wide number of sockets and even includes a digital optical out, something that is normally found on more expensive machines. So far the machine has played every type of disk I have thrown at it and includes all the usual 'trick' features. In use the machine performs flawlessly with excellent picture quality and sound. Advantages: Excellent Design
Disadvantages: The advent of CLD & Plasma makes 'set top' a misnomer

...I bought the Ferguson FD-1 Prism inmcarnation of this TVONICS box. It is excellent, easy to use and set up and only fifty quid!! It makes the other set top boxes look cheap and tacky - I found out from the TVONICS website that it is made by Sony - so you're getting a quality box for less than fifty! It has a quality feel and it does everything you would expect of a set top box. I liked it so much that when it came to buying a hard drive recorder - you guessed it, I bought a TVONICS.... Buy it, it really is great. Only complaint is that seeing there is no such thing as a set top anymore - where do you put it? Unfortunately everything else is still big (DVD players, etc)... Advantages: having a karaoke function!!! excellent
Disadvantages: none!!!

...i found this dvd player to be of great quality and value for money. i paid only £14.99 for this from ebay. so as you can probably work out that is extremely cheap for a dvd player let a alone a karaoke function built in as well. also included is 12 dvd movies such as black beauty, the bfg, and the shawshank redemption. it plays dvd/svcd/vcd/mp3/cd-r/cd-rw/cd discs and digital picture cds and has excellent sound quality. but the best thing about it is it s small, stylish and compact. i defiantely recommend this dvd player. i love the karaoke as all you do is plug the microphone, which is supplied, into the socket of the dvd player and away you go. you get a disc which has 20 songs on which are actually great tracks here are some of them : britney spears baby one more time, will young evergreen, abba dancing queen, robbie williams angels...
