Advantages: Addictive to watch, great action, great storyline. Disadvantages: Disadvantage to men, there's only 2 gorgeous ladies in the film, the rest are men!

***STORYLINE*** (I don’t want to give too much away) Lincoln Burrows (played by Dominic Purcell) committed a crime of First degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Burrows pleads not guilty and is convicted of murdering Terence Steadman. His sentence is Death by Electrocution.
Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) is a desperate man in a desperate situation - his brother has been convicted of murder and is on death row. Despite the evidence against Lincoln, Michael is convinced of his brother's innocence. With no other options and the clock ticking towards Lincoln's execution, Michael holds up a bank to get himself incarcerated alongside his brother. Once inside, Michael - a structural engineer with the blueprints for the prison tattooed on his body - has hatched an elaborate plan to break Lincoln out and prove that he was framed.
This series follows other inmates of the prison and family close to Lincoln who also believe he is not guilty, and try to appeal and find new evidence to show this. This series also shows Scofield’s plan to get into the prison and how he’s going to help Lincoln break out. How does Michael Plan to break out? ***CHARACTERS*** Lincoln Burrows - Played by Dominic Purcell has also starred and appeared in both movie and TV roles such as John Doe, Raw FM (Australia), Mission Impossible 2 and Blade Trinity.
Michael Scofield - Played by Wentworth Miller, also starred in ABC’s mini series Dinotopia. After appearing in a few minor television roles, he moved on to star in the 2000 film The Human Stain. Wentworth Miller has also starred in 2 of Mariah Careys music videos.
John Abruzzi plays an inmate in the prison convicted of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Played by Peter Stormare, and has appeared in films such as The Unknown and Brothers Grimm.
David Apolskis plays an inmate convicted of Grand Larceny. No information about this actor.
Theodore Bagwell plays an inmate convicted of kidnapping, rape, first degree murder, and assault. Played by Robert Knepper, has appeared in films such as ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’, ‘Hostage‘, ‘Swatters’ & ‘Love and Sex‘.
Captain Brad Bellick plays captain in the prison which is the highest rank a C.O can earn. Played by Wade Williams, has appeared in ‘Jarhead’, ‘Collateral’, and TV appearances such as ‘Six Feet Under’, ‘NYPD Blue’ and ‘CSI’.
LJ Burrows Jr plays Lincoln’s son. Played by Marshall Allman he produced and appeared in ‘The history of Devil’ and has been in films such as ‘Hostage’, ‘Shallow Ground’, ‘Little Black Book’ and TV appearance include ‘Without a Trace’, and ‘Malcolm in the middle’.
Veronica Donovan dated Lincoln throughout High School. Played by Robin Tunney, has appeared in ’Runaway’, Cherish’, ‘The Craft’, and ’Julian Po.
Benjamin Franklin plays an inmate who was in possession of stolen goods. Played by Rockmond Dunbar, has appeared in ’Soul Food’, ’Earth 2’, and is named one of Televisions 50 Sexiest Stars of all time.
Agent Paul Kellerman has a leadership position within the secret service for the Government. (No information about who plays this character)
Charles Patoshik suffers form mental illness and plays an inmate in the prison who is convicted of two counts of murder.
Warden Henry Pope is in charge of Fox River Prison and has been for the past 18 years. Played by Stacy Keach, has appeared in ‘Titus’ and has received golden globe awards for best actor, won three Obies and three Vernon Rice awards.
Fernando Sucre plays an inmate convicted of aggravated robbery. Played by Amaury Nolasco, has appeared in ‘CSI’, ‘ER’, ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ and Mr. 3000’.
Dr. Sara Tancredi plays the doctor within Fox River Prison. Played by Sarah Wayne Callies, has appeared in ‘Law and Order’, ‘Tarzan’, and ‘Whisper’.
Charles Westmoreland plays an inmate convicted of vehicular hijacking, reckless Homicide and Involuntary Mansalughter.

***OVERALL OPINION*** It’s a fantastic story-line with great characters, played by some well known actors.
After watching the first episode I was hooked on this series. I would finish watching one episode and couldn’t bare to wait until the following week until the next episode. It has been very addictive to watch and very enjoyable.
You may think, this sounds boring, being set in a prison, there’s only so much you can film but it’s the opposite . . Not at all boring. We get to see life inside the prison and learn about other inmates, their visitors and how they plan the rest of their lives in Fox River.
The acting in this film is brilliant and as you can see, a lot of the actors have starred in other big films. I thought the way this series was done, and how they introduced Michael into Fox River was very interesting and clever.
I would recommend you to watch the first few episodes and I guarantee after watching the first few, you’ll be hooked.

Advantages: An American export I'd die without Disadvantages: Waiting a week, but you need the rest
When reviewing Prison Break it's hard to know where to start. The show premiered in America on the 29th August 2005 and from what I've gathered it's one of those shows that gained cult status. I would love to baby feed you information like the viewing figures however I'm scared to visit Wikipedia for those sort of details because I know full well that America is ahead of the UK with Prison Break's second season and it's one of those shows where if ... ...Lost was how I discovered Prison Break, he said I've got to see it. Still, I wasn't that bothered and pretty much went on my way of thinking, "Maybe one day I'll watch it, but probably not." That was until this Christmas where just my chance I was flicking through the channels at about 0025 (that's right, I remember the exact hours) and I noticed Prison Break was on.
Well I might as well watch a bit of it, see what it's like, what's the worst that ...

...successful architect who designed the prison walls), gets himself arrested and locked up in the very same prison as his brother. Using his knowledge of the prison, he executes a plan which he came up with before the arrest to break out his brother.
Whilst the story of this breakout is happening, a parallel story is also running showing life outside the prison walls, where Lincoln's former lover and Lawyer Veronica Donovan (Robin Tunney) tries desperately ... ...to recruit people around the prison to help him and his brother escape, gaining the help of ex mob boss Abruzzi, C-Note, Sucre and T-Bag. Many twists and turns happen throughout the series, with things happening you never would have expected to happen, leaving only the words on your face... "WOW".
Season two moves onto showing the brothers lives after the escape, setting out to find the DB cooper 5 million dollars, where we find a reunion of all ...

...the crowd I came across Prison Break late on evening when flicking through the channels, I landed on Channel 5. I started watching this drama that was so easy to get into and the storyline pretty easy to follow, even for me! Now here we are half way through the second series and I am so hooked.

The programme revolves around the inmates at Fox River, a prison for dangerous criminals; one brother is wrongly convicted of murder and ... ...Kingman Detention Center in Arizona prison for the murder of his mother and stepfather, Lincoln was desperate to see him released.
John Abruzzi is a former mob boss convicted on two counts of murder and conspiring to commit two further murders he wanted to escape to exert revenge on the one person responsible for sending him down.
David Apolskis also known as Tweener is serving 5 years for theft when he picked on the wrong person to pick pocket.

Advantages: Exciting, gripping, dynamic characters, thick plot, good twists. Disadvantages: very long episodes (may be good for some)
This tv show is honestly one of the best tv shows I have ever watched. I find it extremely gripping, and has tons of twists and turns. I have been watching the series on dvd several episodes at a time, and the plot fits together seamlessly. I don't believe it is one of those shows or movies that is hard to grasp or follow. The plot does not fade, and the characters grow more and more dynamic as the plot progresses. Of course I am not a professional ...

Advantages: All the makings of a spectacular escape Disadvantages: Seen it all before?
Back in March of this year I shared my love for PrisonBreak with the site for the first time, as I celebrated the beginning of the second season as well as how I found the first season only by chance as it was repeated over the holiday period night after night. That is why it comes as so hard to believe that I've only been following the show for around ten months, as it feels as though I have travelled over the road humps with the characters in their two year tenure that has now entered its third season. Running almost parallel with America television and the FOX network, Sky One beat Five to the rights for the show and brought us up to date with all the goings on as Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) enters a new prison.

Advantages: Wide variety of programmes Disadvantages: Repeats
Sky One stands out as the main entertainment channel on satellite. It is a very dominant channel. If there are any programmes that are having good ratings you can be sure that sky will be making an approach for the rights to the programme. A perfect example of them doing this is 'Lost', it was having huge success and was then bought by Sky and is now shown on Sky one. The same has also been done with PrisonBreak and to some extent Gladiators.
There is no doubting that it has a lot of decent programmes, including the ones mentioned above it also gets all the new episodes of the Simpsons and has the entertaining Ross Kemp series'. There are however a large number of repeats on Sky one and this can be aggrevating if you spend a lot of time watching it. Sky one has also started to host some sport coverage so this means that you can see ...
