Pritt Stick - The Non Sticky, Non Messy Adhesive!

Advantages: Non Toxic, Easy To Use
Disadvantages: Not A Particularly Strong Adhesive

I decided to write this review as a companion to one I wrote about a month ago on Blu-Tack. I have just spent the evening babysitting for my seven year nephew and we have been making a scrapbook. Blu-Tack is harmless and perfect for using around kids but it isn't really good at sticking paper cuttings into a cardboard scrapbook, for that you need a proper glue and when it comes to using glue around a seven year old there is nothing less messy or safer than Pritt Stick. Pritt Stick claims to be the non sticky glue which I know is a bit of a contradiction in terms but once you have used this stuff you will realise that the slogan fits. Review of Pritt Stick

Refill in situ, cartridges last even longer.

Advantages: Offers huge saving on new cartridges
Disadvantages: can be messy and fiddly

Like many people I find the cost of new printer ink cartridges too expensive. I have tried the alternative route of buying refurbished ones where empty cartridges are cleaned, refilled and resold. My opinion, don?t waste your money. The simple reason is the cartridge?s metal contacts are very delicate and are made useless by taking them in and out of the printer numerous times. If you get a well used refurbished cartridge it simply won?t work or packs up after a few days, I know this from painful and expensive experience. A better idea which I now use you may want to try, is refilling your own cartridges. Nothing new in that you say but I fill them in situ and it extends the cartridge life considerably. You will need either a colour inkjet refill kit or a black inkjet refill kit or both obviously depending on your needs. JR ...

Sticky yet safe. (Pritt Stick)

Advantages: Quick to apply and dry.
Disadvantages: None really, although I don't use it much anymore.

the product contains small parts. Application of the glue is easy and clean. Simply removed the cap and screw the black base of the tube clockwise until the white glue stick magically appears from within. Then run over whatever you need to glue. To store, simply reverse the process and screw the black base anticlockwise until the glue stick is back with its housing and replace the white cap. Simple! I used to use Pritt Stick a lot when I was in 6th form for creating poster presentations. I would attach together multiple pre-prepared sections of text and images onto a large sheet of brightly coloured card. The glue worked as an excellent adhesive for paper on paper, paper on card or card on glossy paper. The glue was easy to apply quickly and did not drip or need time to dry.
