Advantages: Easy to use, Simple to Update, Cheap, Sturdy Windscreen Mount Disadvantages: No longer made but support is still available online and via bundled software
...Good. Very Good. This is a great entry-level SatNav for people who want a smart looking device with user-friendly features at a low price.
I bought this SatNav as I'd had a TomTom which was fine but needed upgrading as it was old and out of date. I intially bought an RAC model running Route 66 but after taking two back because they never picked up a signal, I bought the Via Michelin X-960 New Edition.
You'll see these going around stupidly cheap now as ViaMichelin don't make/sell SatNav units, but they have continued to provide product updates via their website and sync software (included).
The device is easy to use, colourful and has a nice voice to it available in both US and UK English, male or female as well as a variety of other languages. I find the battery lasts about 4 hours before I need to recharge/plug in....

As for performance it puts out a big sound for a little box, and the picture quality on DVD playback is superb, only real problems i had was using the remote, you have keep changing the operation switch to use the same buttons for different things. ie if you want to use the tuner you use the same buttons as you would for in movie menus!!!!
For my use as a secondary DVD/Stereo unit 9/10...
