Ok... I normally don't write consumer reviews too often... but I definately have to tell you about ProActive Solutions... including their line of remarkable products...
Over a year ago... I was being the usual college insomniac and watching the horrid infomericals... when I clicked the tv remote to an advertisement that offered great looking skin without the hassle of the Victoria Principal Skin Line... and without the redness that often occurs with medicinal based products that you get from your doctor or GP...
Well.. I watched the infomerical... and I don't know if it was insanity or drowsiness... but I called the 1-800 number and ordered a trial supply of the ProActive Solutions...
**** WHAT IS PROACTIVE? ****
Its one of a line of products from the Rodan & Fields Company and its subdivion Guthy-Renker... which specializes not only in skin care... but also in household cleaners and other such innovative inventions...
The ProActive Solutions Line consists not only of the Renewing Cleanser... but also a
Revitalizing Toner and Repairing Lotion...
According to the brochure that comes with each 3 month installment of the PA Solution set...

In laymen's terms... its powerful and gentle to your skin... and it easy... seriously... I thought that I would never get into the routine of using three products on my face daily... but I have...
**** RENEWING CLEANSER ****
The Renewing cleanser bottle comes in a white plastic bottle with teal lettering... the 120mL bottle has the Rodan & Fields Trademark and ProActive Solutions certification...
This part of the trio is the for the management of acne and to prevent further breakouts... which is great because unlike other cleansers... it has micro beads that gently exfoliate the dead skin and uncovers the fresh ... clean skin beneath... its also great with impurities... like blochiness and old scars... it minimizes their appearances... (which is great for me because I used to squeeze my blackheads and left a few scars on my face...)
There is one catch with the cleanser... you absolutely have to use a sunscreen of at least spf 15... and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun... it doesn't hurt your skin... it just makes the progress of healing much slower...
**** REVITALIZING TONER ****
What is great about this toner... is that it is alcohol free and gives a nice stinging sensation if there are open acne blemishes on your face... letting you know that it is working to clear out the oil and any bacteria that may be causing damage to your skin...
There is also the added benefit of chamomile and witch hazel extract... which are absolutely gorgeous by themselves... but with the toner... leave your skin feeling remarkably tingly and fresh...
The toner comes in a semi clear plastic bottle of 120mL.. which the same white twist cap as the cleanser... and the same labelings... but just that you can see into the bottle at the slightly green tinted liquid inside...
You will use the toner after using the Cleanser... and once again... if you just use the cleanser and toner... you will need a sunscreen of spf 15...
**** REPAIRING LOTION ****
This thick white lotion is silky smooth and it doesn't take much to moisturize your skin... there is 2.5% benzoyl peroxide also in the lotion... its oil free and doesn't make your skin feel greasy whatsoever...
The white bottle is a bit smaller than the other two mentioned... at 60mL... its perfect for your handbag if you want to add some lotion during the day...
After you have used the cleanser and the toner... the lotion is a soothing end to an easy skin treatment...
Once again... if you plan to be in the sun... wear sunscreen to protect your face a bit more... and ensure that the treatment works....
**** DOES IT WORK?? ****
Absolutely... its not instant.. though the first time you use the products... your skin will feel refreshed and look healthier... which is smashing...
The one drawback is that it can dry out your skin if used twice a day... I have got myself in the habit of using all three at night... and only the cleanser and lotion in the morning... that way my skin doesn't dry out ...
According the to brochure... accurate results will appear at the end of one week of continual use... and within 2 weeks... the majority of the blemishes will be gone... which is a great timetable if you want to have clear skin for an occasion or for as long as you use the product...
**** COSTS ****

Honestly... I haven't used any other of the ProActive Solutions Products other than the three that I listed above... but I won't say I haven't been tempted... but I can say that it is very expensive to try everything... I like staying with the simple three: The Cleanser... Toner... and Lotion... Anything more and I think it would lose its timely effectiveness with me...

How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
A very professional review.... my biggest question comes under your 'does it work' subtitle. You say 'absolutely' but not immediately. Further down you state results according to the brochure (1-2wks), but what was your experience? When did it start working for you? These details are conspicuous by their absence. The few people that I know of who have tried the product have said it did not work at all.... to be fair, I am only talking about 3 people which is by no means statistically relevant.
Your review was helpful in that I now know whats in it and what is available and all the different ways of buying it, however as a cynical consumer I cant help wondering if you work for the company

good review it was really helpful i was going to buy some but the price. because i had seen them sort of commercials before and i bought the stuff and found they didn't work.
But i bought a product to reduce spots a few days ago and its really working!

I just love buying beauty products, but they don't make me beautiful for some weird reason.
Advantages: For any skin type, does not cause irritation and does not take long to see difference a Disadvantages: Having to buy it online because it not in store
