As a keen gameplayer of the ProEvolutionSoccer series, I was looking forward to getting my hands on the 2009 copy.
Having debated for quite a few days on deciding whether Pro Evo or Fifa 09 was for me, I eventually went for Pro Evo... and I'm glad I did!
With added gameplay features, better graphics, and a better flow to the actual games, Pro Evo seems to be gradually building towards becoming the real thing.
The new "Uefa Champions League" feature is an excellent feature of the game, with an added intensity and realism now included.
"Become a Legend" mode is another feature to catch the eye, and many hours of my day have been spent building up my own player from a 17 year old at a non league club, to striving towards domestic and international honours.

Advantages: It's Pro Evolution Soccer, in handheld format for crying out loud... Disadvantages: Some long loading times and a lack of a Master League likely to put some fans off...
So, the second best football game ever made gets a release on the PSP. For shame that few remember the gloriously addictive Sensible Soccer (from the halcyon days of the Amiga) as the title would be perfect for Sony's venture into the arena of handheld and portable gaming. Small, compact and simple, the endeavour would surely make the most out of the platform given the power of the PSP. Instead we have ProEvolutionSoccer, Konami's yearly updated monster for the Playstation 2, which in many ways is akin to playing virtual football. A fantastic game by all accounts, but, given the range and depth of the football on show - including numerous cup competitions, individual player data, the much loved Master League and barnstorming realism in the graphics department - its conversion to the PSP would seem as tricky as a FA Cup third round away ...

I will admit to not having owned the entire series of ProEvolutionSoccer games. However, I have played all of them since 2005 and I sincerely believe that they have improved in those four years.
As the title of the game suggests, it is a soccer game. The user can play in a variety of gameplay modes. The various modes create a sense of challenge and allow the user to do almost anything they want, within the confines of the game.
Since the beginning of the ProEvolutionSoccer series, there has definately been an improvement in the graphics. Notably, the game has also become more realistic, making the signings of new players harder to accomplish and making the gameplay a far closer representation of the modern day football match.
