most realistic soccer experience one can have
within the world of gaming. Pro Evolution Soccer
2010 does not disappoint and this year, the voices
of fans world-wide have been heard. Based in
Japan, Winning Eleven Productions has instituted a
host of anticipated changes that make PES 2010 the
best yet. In PES 2010 you'll find yourself on the
largest stage in digital soccer: The Champions
League. Imagine you're in a 1-1 tie in stoppage
time against Manchester United. You've broken
their defense and are sprinting full throttle into
a man to man match of wits and reflexes with Edwin
van der Sar Do you have what it takes to punch it
in for the win?Enhanced Realism: PES 2010 delivers
a pace of game in tune with football played at the
highest level. Triangulation of passes and use of
off-the-ball runs are key to breaking down the
opposition, forcing the player to use the
strengths of their team mates to create scoring
opportunities. Gone are 'soft' goals that can be
used to break the deadlock - instead, only working
the channels and the precision play expected of
great players will make a difference. Player
Characteristics: Key skills of the many players
have now been attributed named, allowing users to
incorporate them into their play strategy. Cover
star Torres, for instance, is renowned for his
ability to receive a pass in the penalty area, and
to drop the ball to a teammate in a good position
for a goal-scoring opportunity. As such, he is
labeled a "Fox In The Box" and "Goal Poacher", in
line with his prowess in both scoring and setting
up goals. Instant Tactical Switching: Each team
has unique settings matching their real-life
playing styles. Torres at Liverpool, for instance,
will recreate the Merseyside club's sophisticated
play and high numbers in attack, their pressing
from midfield, strong defensive line, and width
across the pitch. For the offense, the default
settings support wide attacks and the aim to move
in the back of the opponent's defense line. The
user can summon the bar instantly during a match
to adjust team tactics to enhance their defence or
strengthen attacks. Master League: The Master
League now incorporates both the Champions League
and Europa Leagues in its content, offering a
complete season for players to enjoy. Success in
the Master League will see players streamed into
these competitions. The lure of European football
can also be used to attract stronger players to
your side, with transfer dealings and contracts
now significantly more realistic in their use.

A Quick One-Two, And Then It's A Third

Advantages: Made to build up play in a realistic manner, the Master League
Disadvantages: Handball, computer A.I., referee decisions, pass interpretation

...collection it looks as if Pro Evolution Soccer 3 would finally be on its way out. With the upcoming January transfer window approaching PES3 is perhaps surplus to requirements, but that's not to say that this not a class title, for I simply feel it is time to move on. Aside from setting up competitions between national sides, you can to some degree put together one of the top European leagues. These don't feature the cup competitions but if you want something more akin to the football season then you should tackle the Master League mode. Here the incentive would be to put together a dream team which you can then use ... more

The best football game in the world!!!

Advantages: Great gameplay/addictive/fantastic depth
Disadvantages: The commentary

...the beaUtiful game: Football. Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer series has always been regarded by the critics as the superior and best football game out there. The main competition to the Pro Evolution games comes in the form of EA's FIFA games. This 3rd game in the series was released in October 2003 to a huge amount of antipation. I think that the back of the game box sums things up rather well indeed, "A new season starts! Real football is back!". ...
...player how you deal with Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (PES3). You can play against easy AI (artificial intelliegence) opponents with 1 or 2 star matches and score easy goals, or if you are up for a harder, more grinding battle why not play on the harder 4 star and 5 star matches. In the hardest settings for instance you will get little time on the ball, it is exceptionally hard to put the ball through your opponents defense and defending a quick attack ...

That's a great shot from...Number 13!

Advantages: Good graphics, improved gameplay, addictive fo those who love football
Disadvantages: extremely poor comentary, few liscenses

Due to complaints from friends I have been forced to change this to a 5 star rating. The game gets incredible once played for a while and outstanding goals become possible and in general it is something very satisfying to master. (Even though I always loose.) I would also like to thank all those who have read and rate this review, and urge you all to ignore the idiot rater who likes to think it will shove me off the top spot if he rates badly. Ok ...
...PES might as well be the video game equivalent of Tony Blair. However, no pain no game is what I’ve always thought, so with the pain that is left in your brain from the tedious commentary and players named Brian Griggs, you are even more appreciative of the compelling gameplay and most realistic football game going. *FIRST SIGHT* So as you wait either pessimistically, optimistically or mystically at the screen as it begins to load you are presented ...

The legend that is Pro Evo 3

Advantages: great playability especially with a multitap and mates!
Disadvantages: Some annoying glitches. nothing major

...this is from the legendary Pro Evolution series, each one getting better than the other. Now, Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (PES3) has many features that the previous games didn't which should be expected from a more advanced game, however, it also blows the likes of Fifa and T.I.F out of the water (sorry to any hardcore Fifa fans out there!) ---------------------In Game options--------------------- Once in the game options, you get many of your standard ...

They shoot, they score!

Advantages: The Best Football Game Bar None
Disadvantages: Lack of license means few 'real' player names

...the FIFA series has over Pro Evo Soccer is the FIFPRO license which means FIFA can use the real players names whereas PES3 can't. But if you have no life and a few hours to spare then you can work out all the players real names and change them (there are lists floating about the internet). However most people will just live with it. And it soon becomes clear that the rest of the game more than makes up for it. The control system feels natural and ...
...as beautiful. OK so it's much rarer to see a very special trick than in FIFA but do you really want to be able to go through a whole team just tapping R2? and it means when you do use a stepover to leave a full back for dead or nutmeg a central defender before faking a shot and taking the ball past the keeper before cooly slotting into the empty net it feels so much more satisfying. The graphics are superb too for the most part with the players ...

Playstation 3 Review

Advantages: Blu-Ray, Entertainment, Backward Compatibility, Sixaxis Controller, Wi-Fi, Hardware.
Disadvantages: Price, Lack of Quality Games, Untapped Potential.

After playing Playstation 2 for years I was happy when Playstation 3 was announced to be released. However that happiness didn't last much. Why? In my opinion the Playstation 3 (PS3) lacks not only good but also exclusive games. The console is way too expensive and it isn't compensating. Why? You have 2 other consoles that you could buy with the money you'd spend on PS3. Those are the Xbox 360 and the WII consoles. After playing several PS3 games I've found that graphics are good but sometimes the problem isn't the console but the games that don't use PS3 full settings. One good example is Pro Evolution Soccer a football game that succeeded and achieved greatness in Playstation 2 and when the brand jumped for the 3rd generation console it didn't pay off. The graphics weren't accurate there were lots of bugs the game was slower. Anyway ...

Review of Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3)

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, PS3

Advantages: Good gameplay as usual, nice additions, good graphics
Disadvantages: Poor soundtrack, requires a patch download for full enjoyment

Pro Evolution Soccer makes its PS3 debut. Upon playing the game for the first time I could not help but feel dissapointed. Having been used to the PS2 version, I was worried by the way the game appeared to 'lag' and displayed some jittery gameplay. However, once my PS3 system was connected to the internet, the next time I opened the game it automatically started downloading an official patch from Konami which gone a long way to solving the initial problems. A few weeks later and I am now in love with the game. I cannot give a proper review of the offline play as I prefer online but the general gameplay is great. The addition of little things such as the ability to dive are nice touches. Overall the gameplay is great. It plays just like a simulation of football should. Highly reccommended. ...

KICK ASS!

Advantages: Great Range of games!
Disadvantages: The Technology is five years old and doesnt compare in graphics to the XBOX and Gamecube

The Sony PlayStation 2 is the sucessor the successful PlayStation, its 128 bit with 295mhz processing power, 2 USB ports and a kick ass range of games available. The range of great games vary from Time Crisis 3, Gran Turismo 4, Killzone, DragonBall Z Budokai 3, Red Faction, Timesplitters 2, Pro Evolution Soccer 4 and more! The PlayStation 2 is fully backwards compatible with PlayStation games and is very useful! It also plays DVD Video so you can play movies at great quality, the great thing with this feature is that it saves money buying a DVD Player and you dont have to buy a remote control to view them unlike Microsoft's XBOX I reccommend this console to anyone, its a great buy!
