I'm shy and quiet when not well known, but as my friends will vouch, I'm funny and an interesting person to be around when you get to know me.
I'm a big football and speedway fan, and I'm into all sorts of music, mainly 'alternative rock' though.

Main Review ------------------ Take this game into account. Compare it to the 3 previous PES games. I bet you didn't think it could improve on PES3, right?
Wrong. It takes it by the shoulders, shakes it about and throws it out the window. PES4 is quite simply the best football game ever created. It's realism of player movements, of passing, of just about everything is matched by no other game in existence.
The only word to describe PES4 is brilliant. The only con about this game is the fact that a large number of players don't have their real names and teams don't have proper kits or names. But the acclaimed Edit feature sorts this out, allowing you to rename and create everything to your satisfaction. You can even create your own custom team full of custom-made players. It's superb.
Gameplay --------------- Second to none. Truly stunning, the players move exactly how they would in real-life, the passes are executed and collected realistically and a great deal of the players actually look like their real-life counterparts.
The satisfaction
of scoring a goal is like nothing felt before. Just like in real-life, scoring a last-minute equaliser or winner is such a rewarding and brilliant feeling. Equally, conceding a last-minute equaliser or winning goal is so disappointing and disheartening. And the claim by Konami that 'you can never score the same goal twice' really does bear fruit, as no goal is ever the same.
The players may not have the intricate and often crazy skills of FIFA players, but are they really needed? No, they aren't.
The addictiveness of this game is intense. I've often found myself playing for 3-4 hours non-stop as I've not been able to tear myself away from the game, trying to win the next game to win the league or win the cup. Great fun. 10/10
Longevity ------------- Although not quite as many leagues and ideas as FIFA to keep the player amused, there are still 6 top leagues with all the teams to play with (English Premiership, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1, German Bundesliga and Dutch Eredivisie) as well as an International League with teams of your choice.
The continental cups are still around, as well as the variation on the World Cup and the custom Konami Cup. The Exhibition mode still gives a good account of itself also.
Above all though, the Master League still takes the biscuit. It was a genius idea to begin with, but now is an immense gaming experience. It should keep players occupied for hours on end trying to win all the trophies available, and building a team fit for stardom. You even get to train players, and (get this) IMPROVE stats! A genius feature to introduce, those rubbish default players you always get lumbered with can, providing you have the patience, be turned into quality players!
The Master League now also has 3 options on startup: ~ you can play the classic way, where no matter what team you select, you have the same bunch of default players. ~ you can play with the actual bunch of players at that team ~ or you can create an entirely new team with badge, kit, ground and name, and buy a couple of players to give that creative edge to your team.
With 80 teams to choose from, and many thousands of players to potentially buy, you'd be hard put not to give it a go.
The experiment in PES3 of the PES Shop has returned, and brings with it the usual features of 'add classic players' and 'add classic team' etc. It's not the most amazing bunch of added options you can get, but it gives you an incentive to play. The transfer of players can be done from the word go now though, which makes life much easier when updating the game to current real-life standings.
All round, the game will keep players playing for hours on end. 10/10
Graphics ------------- FIFA perhaps edges the game ever so slightly on the graphics front, and not too much has changed from PES3. But all in all, the graphics are still top quality and give no slowdown or confusion at all. 9/10
Difficulty ------------ I've always had admiration for the difficulty ratings on this game. The 5 star ratings makes things simple to understand, and gives enough diversity for a real challenge. You can purchase a 6th star difficulty level from the PES Shop and boy is it hard. But as mentioned earler, the satisfaction of scoring a top quality goal on 6 stars cannot be matched in any other game. 9/10
Multiplayer --------------- Multiplayer on PES4 is as you'd expect: a whole lotta fun. Playing with friends is a good laugh, especially with them against opposition. The goals you can score and let in are stunning and laughable. Fantastic. 10/10
Conclusion ---------------- This game is a must-buy for any football fan. Even non-football fans may enjoy the easily accessible gameplay. It blows FIFA out of the water, and sails off into the sunset alone. Best football game ever. Bar none. 10/10

Advantages: Fantastic gameplay, best football simulation available Disadvantages: compulsively addictive, past the stage where it is a good thing. lack of licenses.
Advantages: Smooth and realistic gameplay, better than previous realeases, x-box live add on. Disadvantages: Commentary is awful, lacks the presentation of FIFA 2005
