abundant with new gameplay additions. Player AI has been massively upgraded, with players running intelligently into space when not in possession of the ball and pointing where they want the pass placed to continue the attack. Similarly, the physical side of play has been refined, with players working to turn a defender as they receive the ball, while defenders must learn to stand off slightly to prevent such moves. Series creator Shingo Seabass Takatsuka has also worked to refine the shooting system of the new game, and players will be able to attempt more snap shots than in previous versions, while volleys and half-volleys have been redesigned. Other new moves include the ability to retain control of the ball when sliding in to tackle, while all-new feints and backwards dribbling are now available thanks to the improved dribbling controls, while headers have been changed to allow players more movement in the way their strikers jump and head the ball.
additions to make it even more realistic in both gameplay and graphics. If England dont win the World Cup you can always take solace in the latest Pro Evo.The lowdown:This latest sequel sees one of the biggest overhauls in the games history with the new improvements to the already impressive animation directly affecting the way you play. Dribbling with the ball is now easier but the quality of your passing and shooting now depends on the position of a players body in terms of both accuracy and power. Make a shot straight after a sharp turn, for example, and your chances of hitting the target are slim. Opponent and team artificial intelligence has also been greatly increased, to the point where every man on the pitch is thinking independently. Apart from the animation, the graphics in general have also been upgraded with much better player likenesses. Most exciting moment:Thanks to the new changes Pro Evo 6 plays a much more attacking game than previously, with counter attacks after a fluffed shot on goal made much easier than previously.Since you ask:Although the game doesnt have the official FIFA World Cup license it does simulate an unofficial international tournament, including both qualifying rounds and the finals. The bottom line:The best just keeps getting better with the most beautiful virtual game ever.HARRISONDENT

For all those Konami PES 5 addicts who have just signed off for counselling. I should start booking for more sessions again, this time in advance, because PES 6 is now available for the PC. Back is the invisible ball heading movement and doing dummy step-overs in your sleep; worrying about player styles and the pitches condition; while working through yet another lunch break.
Gameplay
This time it has got better than PES 5. You now have player movement combinations that will bring crowds to their feet. Open space play is more evident, players move better off the ball. Power shielding is another new tactic for players to use while in possession. Players form now plays a role in their performance ratings, so it is not just injury ridden players who appear off colour. The speed of Ronaldo or a Robben is not so apparent, and more realistic than PES 5. Instead making space through good matchplay rather than shear pace is a good addition to the PES 6. Sensitivity is at is peak on the PC when the goal is at your mercy, remain calm, otherwise shots tend to end up in commentary boxes, or hitting a pie munching fan…..That s one of my tricks. All the European divisions are all available including a master league which However, still includes the usual unregistered players from previous versions. Commentary is a little repetitive, though only if you are specifically looking out for it. The infamous "he looks as if he's just swallowed a wasp" is no longer on the commentary audio. You can determine how much commentary is required while playing; and when people say it's boring, well you can switch it off. The crowd sound effects are true to form, it brings the explosive atmosphere home to you. Konami have studied this for years and they continue to embrace atmosphere with gameplay perfectly.
Quality
The best for me as an avid fan for 4 years PES games is that the graphic quality is still top class. Long gone are the square faces, the pointed chins and the magic ball that passes through players legs, while attempting to block shots on goal and amazingly goes in. The player movement now look like the actual players ticks and temperament. Hairstyles have been updated. The supreme coolness of players like Henry are there all to see. The graphic on the socks, such as motifs and logos are visually better. Konami have not skimped on any of the graphic effects in my view. Yeah, you still get an unrealistic 80,000 crowd attendance at a packed Charlton verses Reading game. I'm sure these clubs would love the revenue, if it were true.
Performance
I would like to think that Konami people come over to see all the different divisions in Europe and do updates every year. Perhaps seeing a familiar face in the crowd, watching fans disappear through the exits after 68 minutes and your team 4-0 down. Yeah……..I'm dreaming, maybe in 2 years. PES 6 performance is still 15% better than the EA 07 game in my view. EA 07 has improved greatly and many fans of EA Sports have applauded them. Sometimes even PES fans like me get a little miffed at seeing flares in the crowd this does not happen in the Premiership. Please Konami do not make the same mistakes again. Leave the red flares be.
PC format
At last out on PC, always a little later than game console formatted version. Last year, I asked why this was the case and had a reply of "It is because it is in a different format, than the PS2". My head and a brick wall crossed my mind…aaahhhh!!! Anyway, I digress….
This is a fast action game, though settings do enable you to change the speed of the gameplay. I do recommend for PC players that the speed of the game settings should be 1 or 2 notches away from the fastest. I have tested this out and feel for realism and PC efficiency this is the best for all; man and machine. Now set the visual quality level to medium as again, this improves gameplay and solves any glitches if you have a PC older than 18 months. Obviously if your PC is a storage monster, you can do as you like. The keyboard well, if you are like me the option of a game pad is preferred; having large fingers do hinder performances.
Overall impression and the price
It won't be a disappointment, it is not revolutionary, but is still the best football game any fan can get. The price of £24.99 is a good deal. Thankfully the £45.00 price of 2 years ago is now long gone. Konami have priced it right; It favours every age group now and I do believe Konami is going to be around for many more versions to come. Good news for Konami tribal members and their counsellors, keep the faith, PES 6 4eva.
Thank you, I hope this review has been of help to you.

Advantages: graphics, more licences Disadvantages: not all licences
This game is probably the biggest thing to hit football gaming ever, in my opinion any way, at first when you play it you do not notice the difference between the last one and this one, but slowly you sink into and absolute love it, you wish for longer days so you can get that treble or make that extra special signing for the future. The problem i do find with the game is not the game itself but the controls, only on a keyboard though, i found it ... ...was a shoot and such and such a key was cross, also the arrow keys make it harder to go exactly where you want to. However this problem can be sorted out by the purchase of a controller, and finally the greatest football game is complete and can be enjoyed in all its glory. One feature especially when playing multiplayer that is good is the 'Random select feature' you can choose a country/ies clubs or specific leagues and the computer will pick random ...

Advantages: hundreds of great mods, realistic play, loads of modes Disadvantages: Graphics could be better, but everything can be improved by mods
PES6, the latest installment in the PES franchise. This has had a great overhaul from PES5, with a big update in graphics, transfers, gameplay and teams. Firstly, the biggest difference is the teams. There are now a lot more official teams with official kits than before for teams like Arsenal and Chelsea.
The gameplay is also greatly changed, becoming very realistic, and quite a bit more challenging. You can no longer run around the opposition all ... ...trick is to pass a lot. It is very easy for the opposition to tackle you, so you have to be careful as to how you play. You feel rewarded when you score, since this time, scoring actually requires some skill. The best thing about this installment is mods. There are hundreds of mods out there, just waiting to be installed. Mods to improve players faces and make them look more realistic, mods to make all kits identical to the real thing, mods to make ...

Advantages: on-line gameplay, good graphics, individual player skills Disadvantages: bad comentary
From International Superstar Soccer through to this latest encarnation Konamis legendary football game just gets better and better. OK so its not got the "official" tag that gets EA's FIFA series so many fans across the globe but this game rocks with a capital R and anyway, most of the teams in most of the major leagues are represented with all the correct players etc.
Fluid game play, good graphics, individual players skills I could go on this ... ...is with the on-line mode, quite simply brilliant. You can play anyone, anywhere, building up stats and progressing through leagues, there are cup competitions and the new feature of clan games with the possibility of up to 4v4.
You must buy this game, get on-line, and say goodbye to your friends and family.......forever. ...
