Pro Plus Stimulant

I bought a travel pack of pro plus as an impulse buy when I was stocking up on deodorant, toothpaste and things for a weekend away in London. I had heard of the tablets before but had never tried them and I figured they may give me a bit of a pick me up when I was busy rushing around in the big city!

Pro plus is basically tablets which contain caffeine and are designed to give you an energy boost. Apparently two of the pro plus tablets contain 100mg of caffeine which is equivalent to a strong cup of coffee and as I don't drink coffee, nor particularly like energy drinks I thought it would be a good way of giving me a little boost.

The travel pack was a very small packet containing sixteen tablets and cost me £2.29 in boots. In retrospect I should have just bought the larger pack as the packaging there is hardly difficult to carry around and the price is not much more expensive. The packaging contains the large red letters saying Pro plus which really do stand out. It tells you that the small pack contains sixteen tablets.

The actual tablets are very small indeed, around a similar size to a hayfever tablet and so I found that they were very easy to take. You should take one or two tablets as required though the day but you should not take more than two in a three hour period and no more than eight throughout the day.

When I got up in the morning when I was in London I simply took two tablets with a glass of water. On the first time I took the tablets after a short while I did notice that my heart seemed to be pumping quite fast and I became quite concerned but this did settle down and I did not experience this on any other occasions when taking the tablets. I presume as my body does not really experience caffeine much it was just adjusting as like I said I do not drink coffee or tea and I rarely drink coke or other such products.

I did notice that I felt noticeably more alert and awake after taking these tablets and I would take them in the morning, with my lunch, and then with my evening meal just to keep my energy levels going as when I am in London I just don't stop. I have to say though that I would think if you consumed a couple of cans of coke, or an energy drink you would have the same reactions. I noticed that when I drank a water drink which claimed to have extra vitamins and things to enhance your thinking that I became more aware then than when I was having the pro plus.

You should seek advice if you are planning to use this product and are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning to become pregnant or have any allergies and you should always keep medicine out of the reach of children.

These tablets are only intended for occasional use and should not really be used as a daily thing to make up for no sleep as obviously sleep and a good diet are what really keep you alert and going for the day. However, I do think as an occasional pick me up if you know you are going to be being much busier than normal this product is a good option as it is easy to take, not too expensive and does seem to work reasonably well. I would use these tablets again if I was going to be having a very busy period and I would award them four stars as they are a good option for me.
