Zap spots with the magic tea tree wand
Review of Avon Tea Tree Blemish Stick by
lynsey82
Advantages: Dries up spots really well
Disadvantages: None!
...When I saw the avon tea tree stick at half price (usually £2.75 for 7ml), I couldn't resist.
In a small, handy, easy to use bottle, the tea tree stick can be carried with you, so that you can zap the spot the minute it pops its ugly little head through your skin.
A tingling sensation follows application, so you feel confident that the tea tree has entered your skin and is working it's magic. I usually apply it at night, and when I wake in the morning, ... ...wherever it came from.
Rest assured, that it does not dry up the rest of your skin, so if you have dry skin, it is still a great product. The properties of tea tree are antiseptic, and therefore work to stop the infection spreading. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, even if you don't suffer badly from spots. If dabbed on a spot as soon as you see it, it prevents it from coming out as an ugly white head, and existing spots don't last long! ...

genius product
Review of Avon Target Blemish Remover by
pink_champagne
Advantages: gets rid of spots!
Disadvantages: tiny tube
This product is absolutley amazing! I'm lucky that I don't suffer badly with spots, but when I do get them they tend to be huge and red and last for ages! Of course I'd tried what seemed like hundreds of different products to get rid of these dreaded blemishes, but nothing ever worked - until I discovered this.
This blue gel comes in a small tube, and you apply it directly to the blemish before going to bed. A huge disadvantage I find is that it ... ...scratch it, which obviously you can't do. It dries into a sort of film, which you peel off the next morning to reveal that the blemish has either gone completley or got considerably smaller and less noticeable. I have found that this product does not work on blackheads, and also that it works better if you have a smaller spot just starting to appear, rather than if you apply it to one that appeared a few days beforehand. Definatley worth the money, ...

Night Treatment Gel
Review of Boots Tea Tree + Witch Hazel Night Treatment Gel by
Black_Sapphire
Advantages: Makes skin feel smooth
Disadvantages: Slightly melts on contact with hands.
...are good at fighting spots. Boots do a whole range of tea tree and witch hazel stuff but this the only one I have tried so far. It cost £2.79
It comes in a squeezy tube and the idea is you put it on at night after cleansing and it's supposed to treat spots.
At first contact with the skin the gel kinda melts and to be honest I wasn't holding out much hope. After applying to my face I was quite surprised. It went on smoothly and wasn't at all sticky ...

Spot on for T Zone spot stick
Review of T-Zone Spot Stick by
Black_Sapphire
Advantages: It works! Smells quite good
Disadvantages: Stings a bit sometimes.
I suffer from oily acne prone skin which is what prompted me to write this review. On waking up one Saturday morning with a particulaly bad out break of spots I took myself off to the local high street to see what I could find and this T Zone Spot stick was one of several products I came back with.
On getting into town I was faced with a choice of several shops that would possibly stock something I was after. I ruled out Tesco pretty quickly because ... ...never ever has what you went in for. I looked round several small independant chemists and didn't find much until I stumbled across Boots. I do have to say that this was a small boots store and I wasn't holding out much hope of finding anything. Surprisingly I did. The T Zone spot stick cost me £3.62. It's a small glass tube with a screw on lid packaged in a cardboard box. The tube contains a greenish colourd liquid which smells of T Tree, a smell ...

Pore PERFECTing toner indeed!
Review of Boots Botanics Pore Perfecting Toner by
indie.rock.and.roll
Advantages: Gets rid of large pores and blackheads, cheap, smells nice
Disadvantages: None!
...toner ran out (a disastrous Boots one) and I had to buy a new one! Off I went to Boots, and i had a look around the Botanics section to see if any caught my eye. This little badboy did. With something like Amazonian clay extract and rosemary extract, how could I argue?
And for £2.99? I was running to buy it! To be honest, it takes a couple of weeks to really make a noticeable change, but boy, does it make a change! Use it both morning and night ... ...blackheads around my nose and forehead had shrunk to almost nothing!! I was delighted! The only thing is, you have to carry on using it to keep other large pores from reforming and so spots etc are kept at bay, but for £2.99 its a very cheap and fantastic skin routine in my opinion! Perfect for those with oversized pores and/or blackheads or oily skin as it also targets shine problems too! Brilliant! ...
