This is perfect for someone like me who is fequently bitten by mosquitos and midges. It is easy to apply and only smells strongly for a few seconds after you put it on. It comes in a tube with a block of the stuff in the middle, you just twist the bottom and then rub it on the area that is itchy or red or spotty, in a few minutes it calms down the itchyness but can take quite a while to reduce spots (like anything else).
