Superb Budget Cooler
Review of Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro by
nemesis2004
Advantages: Very quiet when idle, comes with thermal paste, good conductivity
Disadvantages: Quite noisy at higher RPMs, tricky to install
...Air Flow: 45 CFM
Bearing: ARCTIC Ceramic Bearing
Weight: 520g
Noise Level: 0.9 Sone
Thermal Resistance: 0.17 degrees c/w
Conclusion
Whilst maybe not suitable for overclocking, if you're looking to make your computer a lot quieter, you should really consider the Freezer 7 Pro. In comparison to similar products, it's relatively cheap but really does perform as well as units twice the price. ...

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro - Jake's Review
Review of Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro by
jake_m_06
Advantages: Quieter, cooler, better looks, more stable PC, better for overclocking
Disadvantages: May be tricky to install for begginers, large so you need biggish case
I bought this cooler a few months back now so have had a long experiance using it, so far it has amazed me.
My idle temperatures of my CPU went down around 10 degrees from the stock AMD cooler and my temperature at full load went down even more! But better still, then the temperature reduction, is the fact that even at full speed this fan is very quiet indeed, and even if the temperatures were not much better then the stock fan, this near silence ... ...clearly very efficient using its heatpipes design to remove the heat away from the CPU, then its high quality Aluminium fins to blow the air away from the HSF altogther, preferably to be be blown out of your case using 'exhaust' fans.
Because proccesors generate alot of heat, air and case temperatures are going to be lower then proccesor temperature.. this is why the fan draws in the cool air at the front, that should have been drawn in from the ...

Great cooling for AMD CPU's
Review of Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 by
dav1d89
Advantages: Quiet, Cheap, Effective cooler
Disadvantages: Can be tricky to fit in some cases
When my amd 64 3200+ was geting a little hot using the stock fan i decided to look for a new, but cheap, alternative.
This fan will fit on any motherboard that supports skt 939, skt 940 and socket 754 type AMD processors. But i have read even though it is compatible and will fit it hasn't in some cases. But in my case it fitted fine.
The first thing i noticed was the size of the thing! It only just fitted in my case, and i have a reasonably sized ... ...this is to reduce vibration and noise. Also it is a fairly heavy piece of kit and some of the corners can be sharp, so watch your fingers. On the bottom there is a thermal pad/paste concoction so you wont need to worry about applying thermal paste directly on to the CPU, this made fitting the fan much easier.
Performance wise my CPU was idling around 50 degrees on the stock AMD cooler, but after adding this it reduced it by around 10 degrees so ...

Advantages: Everything

...impressed.
Silence
Arctic Ultra Silent fan is moving on high quality Ceramic bearing.
Trust me or not, had many computers in my life and in my hands but this cooler is seriously well made and designed. Thanks that doesn't have to work with higher speed like most coolers on the market. It is slower but even thought has much better performance and properties. Arctic Is really amazing.
Some technical data and properties:
- Heat Sink: 92 x 92 x ... ...- Overall Dimensions: 92 x 92 x 75 mm
- For the Air Flow relevant Height:47 mm
- Rated Fan Speed: 1000 - 2300 RPM
- Power Consumption: 0.13 Amp.
- Air Flow: 42 CFM / 72 m3/h
- Weight: 374 g
- Noise Level: 0.4 - 1.4 Sone
- Thermal Resistance: 0.30°C/Watt I have it on my PC with a Pentium IV 3.0GHz processor with HT. Does cool it to 38-40 degree of Celsius. Even when overclocked the processor to 3.6 temperature rose only by 2-3 degrees.
It ...

Arctic Cooling Silencer 64 Ultra TC
Review of Arctic Cooling Silencer 64 Ultra TC by
kevinwj
Advantages: Cheap, Effective, Lightweight.
Disadvantages: No manual speed control, Size could be a problem on some boards.
...spend, I decided on the Arctic Cooling Silencer 64 Ultra TC that retails at under £10.00. This heatsink is suitable for socket 754/939/940 AMD Athlon CPU's, BUT is 15mm wider than the standard heatsink, so make sure there is room on your motherboard before ordering one.
The box that the it comes in also contains a motherboard retention module, a tube of Artic cooling MX-1 High performance thermal compound, a case sticker and a small sheet of notes, ... ...are printed on the back of the box.
The cooler.
The heatsink itself is made of aluminum. It is a fin design with a block at the bottom. The base is very shiny with no visible scratches. I just gave it a quick dry polish to clean off any residue from manufacturing.
On the top is a black 87mm fan in a 92mm cage. The mounting has an openplan design and instead of sitting in a little tunnel, the fan is suspended from a cage, with four legs that hold ...
