I bought this package for my university course works. I had a trial version which came with laptop but that expired. This product is a complete software package that helps save time and stay planned. The new menus Visual controls help alot. You don?t even need to look through the menus for a certain function. It is all there. This package includes word processing, e-mail, and the Web, and produce useful promotion campaign. I was able to create my university word processing assignments, spreadsheets, and presentations, and other tasks like building databases easily. The new office package from Microsoft

Advantages: looks good, they have ironed out little 'niggles'
Disadvantages: none really, probably price!

I have just been shown Microsoft’s newest version of ‘Office’ – Office XP which will be released to the general public on May 31st 2001. The XP stands for eXPerience, or so we were told. Cheesiness aside, it all looked rather good. Try Microsoft Office XP Professional for nothing

Advantages: Faster and fancier
Disadvantages: Price

It's not like Microsoft to give something for nothing, in fact it's usually the oposite. We are normally made to pay over the odds for something which is not much of an improvement on the earlier versions, but I have been using Office XP for about a month now and I am pleased with it - especially as it was free. Microsoft are currently offering a free 30 day trial of Microsoft Office XP Professional.
