Halo: The Fall Of Reach - like Halo? Read it.
Review of Halo: The Fall Of Reach - Eric Nylund by  plymouth117

Advantages: great story, great characters, great interaction, inspires you to succeed
Disadvantages: It's not a computer game - it'd make such a good one too :(

...'t want to read the story summary you can skip to the end and read my closing statements. Overview of plot / Story summary If you have played the Halo games you will know that the main protagonist is Master Chief Petty Officer Spartan 117 or 'John' as he was named by his parents. You will have also noticed characters like Captain Keyes referring to "...When Reach fell." and Cortana the A.I.'s "...I chose you because you were lucky.". This novel explains in-depth and at pace what you must be able to gather from the afore mentioned quotes. It tells the story of John 117's life and his transition through childhood to adolescence as a super-soldier-to-be, to a battle hardened fortuitous leader of a squad of genetically enhanced humans desperately trying to save humankind's military... Party on people!!!!
Review of Children Parties - Judy Williams by  bibby29

Advantages: Great party ideas, also down the cost.
Disadvantages: None

...Never done a book review, so here goes. Children’s parties by Judy Williams. I don’t know about you but I find it really difficult having to decide on what to make for children’s parties, instead of the usual sausage rolls and sandwiches so while I was browsing through Amazon one day I came across this book by family circle that gives you ideas on party themes and recipes for that special occasion. I will run through all the different sections: First part of the book Gives you advice on planning a party like planning ahead, how many guests to invite? What sort of food to make? should you have prizes? As well as giving you some table decoration tips and all types of party games which I thought was really interesting as some of the games I never even heard of for e.g. MUSICAL MATS. Save a newspaper and spread the pages over... Read review

Misleading
Review of Teach Yourself Game Programming in 21 Days - SAMS Publishing by  bobsmith

Advantages: Teach yourself to program games, comes with software to help you
Disadvantages: Must know C before hand

...I got this book because I was interested in learning to program, specifically learning how to program games. I read the front and back of the book carefully, and flicked through the pages to make sure it was fairly easy to follow - it was. The book didn't make much sense to me at that time though, obviously because I couldn't read it thoroughly, and because I didn't know any of the programming language used in it. I assumed the book would teach a suitable programming language to create games in, as it was not mentioned in the books introduction or on the cover that prior knowledge would be required....
