Wow, this is a fantastic driving game. I always have high expectations for project gotham racing as i have owned all of them. This one is a very good game. I am playing it right now in fact. There are so many new features from the last ones, and the major one is motorbikes. I love them, especially the super fast ones on the test tracks. Nothing like powering around a test track at 200mph with full surround sound on an hd tv. Just beautiful.
The single player has arcade mode, which is great fun with you mates, knocking them off their bikes. It is very entertaining. But the main part is the career. I have spent the past couple of days doing the career along with multiplayer. The career is very cleverly designed, you go through a calender into each event, with majors in between which give you secial prizes and invitations which get you into major events and also different cars. The way to purchase cars for mutliplayer tho, it through career as you have to earn the kudos to buy the car sets.
The career is very hard on hard, normal is challenging at points, and easy, is well, easy. So you have all the choices there to make the game as fun as possible.
At first you can customize your character with different helmets and leather all with 3 different colours. This is a nice touch.
Multiplayer is great fun, but it kind of annoying when riding a bike and everyone tries to knock you off. You have to keep dodging everyone until your at the front and when your their you can just power it away. Bikes are fast and nippy but very exposed. Cars are speedy, heavy and slippery unless you have alot of grip. Multiplayer is a laugh though, especially with a couple of your friends, nothing like whipping their arses, or smashing them into a wall.
The graphics are amazing, i live in london, and its near perfect. It nearly identical. They have spent alot of time getting the surrounding correct, so you can enjoy the world from your arm chair and an hdtv.
Visually it doesnt disappoint. Audio is magnificent. Controls are perfect. Multiplayer is great fun. Excellent driving game, highly recommended.
