Sony KP-44 PX 2
Advantages: Large 44inch screen. Disadvantages: Being a projection screen, hard to view at certain angles.
...If you have other Sony devices connected to the TV, the remote control will recognise this as it has a digital selector on it and will control either TV, DVD, VCR and AUX at any given time.
The teletext option is good as the screen splits enabling you to still view the desired channel/programme whilst using the data service.
The TV comes with 3 scart sockets as standard at the rear and so linking my DVD player, Freeview box and sub speakers was ... ...a smart side reveal panel with TV control buttons (in case of loss of remote control) and audio connection for adding speakers etc.
It also has very clear and easy set-up instructions on-screen to enable ease of installation, preventing you from trawlling through the manuals to find out how to set it up.
At a very competitive price at £899.99, I am very pleased with this purchase. ...

How is the Picture Qual... How is the Sound Quality? Range of Features Value for Money |
Toshiba Rear Projection TV.
Advantages: Looks good with good picture and sound quality. Disadvantages: Big and bulky at the back.
It's almost 2 1/2 years now since I bought this TV from an online retailer for £899.00,
At the time this was a bargain as it retailed elsewhere at £1000 and over, and even at the higher price I consider this a value for money buy.
The stand came at an additional cost, I cant remember exactly but it cost around £100,
and when the TV was delivered it came fully assembled on the stand.
The back of the TV is quite bulky and is more suited to be positioned ... ...the corner of the room where the back cant be seen at all, and honestly the TV looks so slim and good from the front that you would think it was slim all round!
When choosing my TV I wanted one which was easy to use and understand with basic functions,
I didnt want to be bothered with all the technical jargon and a myriad of functions that I probably would'nt use and would only leave me confused, so thats why I chose this one.
This is a 42 inch ...

Nice TV for the money...
Advantages: The size, its huge!! Disadvantages: You need a pretty big room to fit this one in!
I purchased this TV for the living room. It is huge so requires a fairly large space.
Sitting too close to it makes the screen blurry but sitting a good 10 feet away - WOW!!! It is like having your own cinema!!!
Looks good - plenty of comments from friends that I have the biggest tv in the street!! (Always good!!)
Great to watch digital TV on this TV, analogue TV I would give a miss though.
For £700 what can I say - get one, I did and haven't ...

A Decent Purchase
Advantages: Size of screen, Virtual Surround Disadvantages: Can't leave a still image on screen
I find reviews on any electricals really hard to do, as i'm always sure i'll end up leaving something out and i'm not very technical- meaning this will be a pretty simple one, so i'll try my best to get everything into this review, to make you get a good idea of this tv.
I got this around 3 and a half years ago from Currys. I got it in a package including not only the television, but also a dvd player and a surround sound system. To be honest I ... ...one- the full package sounded a deal too good to be missed, hence the credit card was handed over and the tv was booked in to arrive in a weeks time. I paid around 1500pounds, but I now believe that they can be bought for around 900 pounds- this is because plasma's and lcds have become more common so the rear projection TV's have gone down in value quite a bit.

Amazing Picture And Size
Advantages: picture and sound, remote, size of screen Disadvantages: no built in freeview
Thhis tv has some of the best picture and audio i have ever seen or heard from a home tv.
We purchased this from our local comet and when it was delivered we told them to take it back as it was very big and we did not think we had anywhere it would fit but after a day or two we started to like it, so we decided to keep it. Our one came with a free HDMI dvd recorder in the box which made even better use of the picture.
We do not have a hd satelite ... ...because the picture on our standard box was not any different from the hd channels which is a good thing because it would have cost us more.
Sure it has a bit of a back to it but it is not really a problem if you have it in a corner like we do but i think it is worth it fopr the picture. ...
