Nice TV for the money... Advantages: The size, its huge!! Disadvantages: You need a pretty big room to fit this one in! I purchased this TV for the living room. It is huge so requires a fairly large space. Sitting too close to it makes the screen blurry but sitting a good 10 feet away - WOW!!! It is like having your own cinema!!! Looks good - plenty of comments from friends that I have the biggest tv in the street!! (Always good!!) Great to watch digital TV on this TV, analogue TV I would give a miss though. A Decent Purchase Advantages: Size of screen, Virtual Surround Disadvantages: Can't leave a still image on screen I find reviews on any electricals really hard to do, as i'm always sure i'll end up leaving something out and i'm not very technical- meaning this will be a pretty simple one, so i'll try my best to get everything into this review, to make you get a good idea of this tv. Great picture , great TV. TX47 PT1 and PT10 Advantages: Picture quality stunning, panasonic auto size brill. Disadvantages: no external speakers supplied, only one RGB scart [4 AV total] I bought this TV in 1999 Apr, and the picture still makes my visitors eyes open wide !!! 47 inch wide / light weight 57kg [ for size ]. The main advantage with this TV is that it uses 7 inch projection tubes, compared with others of this size using 5 inch tubes. This gives a brighter and more vivid picture which is only matched by higher priced rear projections [ £4000+ ] or second generation Plasma. It comes with 4 AV inputs, 3 at the rear [one ... ...phono video/sound format [ for camcorders etc ]. the menu system is great [ not the best compared with 2003 models ] but very good and easy to use. This is a lovely TV and todays [2003] price make it a bargin !!! [ approx £1800 ]. In 1999 i payed £3000 and it has been worth every penny for the joy it has brought.
