Toshiba Rear Projection TV.
Advantages: Looks good with good picture and sound quality. Disadvantages: Big and bulky at the back.
It's almost 2 1/2 years now since I bought this TV from an online retailer for £899.00,
At the time this was a bargain as it retailed elsewhere at £1000 and over, and even at the higher price I consider this a value for money buy.
The stand came at an additional cost, I cant remember exactly but it cost around £100,
and when the TV was delivered it came fully assembled on the stand.
The back of the TV is quite bulky and is more suited to be positioned ... ...the corner of the room where the back cant be seen at all, and honestly the TV looks so slim and good from the front that you would think it was slim all round!
When choosing my TV I wanted one which was easy to use and understand with basic functions,
I didnt want to be bothered with all the technical jargon and a myriad of functions that I probably would'nt use and would only leave me confused, so thats why I chose this one.
This is a 42 inch ...

Nice TV for the money...
Advantages: The size, its huge!! Disadvantages: You need a pretty big room to fit this one in!
I purchased this TV for the living room. It is huge so requires a fairly large space.
Sitting too close to it makes the screen blurry but sitting a good 10 feet away - WOW!!! It is like having your own cinema!!!
Looks good - plenty of comments from friends that I have the biggest tv in the street!! (Always good!!)
Great to watch digital TV on this TV, analogue TV I would give a miss though.
For £700 what can I say - get one, I did and haven't ...

Haggle for your TV and save £££s
Advantages: Electrical suppliers are in a cut-throat business -- haggling can save you a lot of money Disadvantages: It won't seem as safe as popping down to Dixons or Comet
...I plumped for was the Toshiba 40PW03 -- 40-inch widescreen, Nicam (I have a separate digital surround amp). I've had the TV for a fortnight and so far am very happy with it -- I'll post a review when I've had more experience -- but it was the actual buying process that proved most interesting.
The list price for the TV is £1,699 and it's available in the high street and at most online retailers for around £1,500, which seems like a good bargain ... ...Grab a magazine like What TV & Video and you'll see pages of adverts, all of which say call for a price. All you have to do is get a quote from one, phone the next, tell them what you've already been quoted and they'll beat the price by £50.
My first quote was £1,750 and I ended up paying £1,250 for the set from RGB Hifi and Video. The price included VAT, delivery and a cabinet, which some companies wanted to charge as much as £200 for, despite ...

Toocheapa
Advantages: Large enough screen for good quality football veiwing and rather cheap Disadvantages: Hard to clean, Low quality picture and too bulky
Last year We purchased a "Toshiba 42WT29B" for our living room. At the time this seamed to be a very good idea as they were going very cheap. Until then i never realy understood what people meant by good and bad quality pictures. This television in a nice way is "not very good quality". Although it isnt very good quality the size of the screen and price are definetly an advantage and are a real buying point although i personaly wouldnt advise anyone ...
