ACER knows what you need...
Advantages: Impressive value for money Disadvantages: just in black...
Well ...after 1 month I purchased, I'm still impressed about what you get for (just) £240 .
Actually I just use for watching avi movies, dvds and documentaries, ocassionally as a massive TV replacement. The cinematic experience is as real as never I experienced before, enjoying a huge 6-8 feet width screen on your home.
Really affordable choice comparing to a plasma TV cost, or another projectors around £600-800 that not neccesarily are gonna offer ... ...efficiently.
Bright enough for use under daylight conditions. Massively bright by night.
Out the box working after maybe 2 min, no probs at all. Quiet enough for me. (Its was my main worry) About contrast and dinamic range, definition ...better results using the vga input rather than the rca or s-video connectors.
And aditionally... discret, elegant, simple and functional design.
I dont miss any functionality or feature at all. It has all you ...

Great, with a few hiccups..
Advantages: Great picture quality, especially from HD sources.. Disadvantages: few niggles, poor power connection
...back after a recommendation for optoma DLP projectors. Was also reasonably priced for a HD projection system. Have this hooked up to my PS3 though its HDMI connection at present and it works like a dream, the picture quality is amazing in HD. Watching Bluerays is like being in the cinema. It is possible to use during the day as long as it is not too bright and the projected surface is not in direct light. Have also connected via my laptop and the ... ...slight problem with the power cable, loose connection, however I got this replaced and has caused me no problems since. The projector has also kept telling me the bulb is reaching the end of its useful life, so I bought a new bulb. however it is still working 6 months after warning me. In my opinion it is a great little projector for home cinema use. ...

Excellent Projector which produces vibrant pictures!
Advantages: Picture, Portability, Inputs Disadvantages: It can get very hot but most projectors do.
I have had this projector since August 2008 and have had no problems at all. It runs very well and produces vibrant HD pictures at 720p. It accepts a range of different multimedia inputs so it is very much suited for a home cinema, inputs include, hdmi, vga, s-video, composite video, and component video. Also looking at the bulb prices they are also fairly reasonable at around £100. This projector is very portable, and so it is recommended to buy ... ...the ease of transportation. I have used this projector along with a hdmi upscalling dvd player but also a blu-ray player, and I have to say that the pictures produced using either of these is outstanding. I bought this projector at a time when prices were reasonable but they shortly went up although this projector is not as widely available as it was. ...

Advantages: Excellent value for money Disadvantages: No fancy features
...range. I found the NEC NP100A on there which is an SVGA Projector with 2000 ANSI lumens at a price of £249.99 (£287.49 inc VAT). It looked like it would fit the bill so I placed my order.

Mini LED Projector with USB connectivity!
Advantages: LED bulb, quick on quick off, USB connectivity Disadvantages: Wish it was offered in multiple colors
...that’s when I found the BenQ GP1. Of course, you can’t compare the performance between the GP1 and the HD20, but I got to say, for the price you pay for the GP1 and the size and weight of it, it really is an amazing mini projector. Although only with 100 lumens, it is 100 lumens of LED (RGB not white) lamination, and I must say if you compare it with standard LCD or DLP 100 lumens, the LED’s 100 lumens are quite a few multiples higher. And the device ... ...Another great thing is that the GP1, being LED, is able to have instant on/off capabilities, which saves a lot of time. And you can forget about changing bulbs, as LED bulbs will last at least 20,000 hours. The best part about the GP1 is that it comes equipped with a USB port and I also bought the extra adapter for iPod /iPhone connectivity so I could just plug in my iPhone and play movies onto the wall whenever and wherever I want. That’s the great ...
