ACER knows what you need... Advantages: Impressive value for money Disadvantages: just in black... Well ...after 1 month I purchased, I'm still impressed about what you get for (just) £240 . Actually I just use for watching avi movies, dvds and documentaries, ocassionally as a massive TV replacement. The cinematic experience is as real as never I experienced before, enjoying a huge 6-8 feet width screen on your home. Really affordable choice comparing to a plasma TV cost, or another projectors around £600-800 that not neccesarily are gonna offer ... ...efficiently. Bright enough for use under daylight conditions. Massively bright by night. Out the box working after maybe 2 min, no probs at all. Quiet enough for me. (Its was my main worry) About contrast and dinamic range,definition ...better results using the vga input rather than the rca or s-video connectors. Excellent Projector which produces vibrant pictures! Advantages: Picture, Portability, Inputs Disadvantages: It can get very hot but most projectors do. I have had this projector since August 2008 and have had no problems at all. It runs very well and produces vibrant HD pictures at 720p. It accepts a range of different multimedia inputs so it is very much suited for a home cinema, inputs include, hdmi, vga, s-video, composite video, and component video. Also looking at the bulb prices they are also fairly reasonable at around £100. This projector is very portable, and so it is recommended to buy ... ...the ease of transportation. I have used this projector along with a hdmi upscalling dvd player but also a blu-ray player, and I have to say that the pictures produced using either of these is outstanding. Great Keystone - No ... not the cops. Advantages: Bright - great keystone Disadvantages: Bit pricey - speakers No hanging around with a flowery introduction - let's get straight to the point. Great functionality - easy to set-up - superb brightness. Expensive - poor sound. In a nutshell those are the positive and negative points of this projector. For my overall opinion, read through to the end. First of all allow me to explain the title for those that are not aware of keystone correction. 'Keystone' has to be the most bizarre term doing the rounds in ... ...and explain a little etymology of the word I would appreciate it as I have no idea where it comes from. A data projector can be positioned absolutely in front of the screen, or above the screen shining down or below the screen shining up. Usually they are at least 5 feet from the screen to obtain a reasonably sized image although some of the more recent products on the market can still get a large image from closer to the screen that this distance. ... Optoma ThemeScene HD65 Advantages: Great picture Disadvantages: None The Optoma ThemeScene HD65 is a great product to have in your living room. I choise the Optoma ThemeScene HD65 becoase my friend suggested that thid was the best prjector in term of picture quailty. Watch a HD movie from a DVD is like watching through a live window panel.
