PB2120 - Great things come in small packages...
Review of BenQ PB2120 by thomason117

Advantages: Small, Bright, High Quality, HD
Disadvantages: Can be a bit noisy, but you get used to it very quickly

The PB2120 is small, it is portable, and it is bright. I use it for a home cinema system and it is very high quality. It can take resolutions of 1280x1024 but it has to compress them, 1024x768 is the one i leave it on, as i power my home cinema system from a computer, not a dvd player. It can take a range of inputs which makes it very useful, but it can be a bit loud at times, but as i said, you get used to it very quickly. It takes a while to ...
...just 3 meters away from the screen i am using, it will happily fill up the screen (aprox 2m diagnally). I have not tried the built in speaker, but from past projector experience, they are never any good, so i use my surround sound system. The main thing i like is it's size and weight, it can very easily be carried around with you. ... Read review

A great budget DLP Projector
Review of BenQ W100 by djmazif666

Advantages: Low price, vivid colour, ease of use and setup
Disadvantages: Resolution could be a bit higher, slight screen-door effect

I bought this projector for my home cinema system and i have been very impressed with it. For the money, i don't think there is a better projector packed with features and superb ease of use. The picture quality is more than satisfactory for watching DVD's and playing PlayStation games, and i also use it for viewing photos from my PC. More die-hard home cinema enthusiasts may find the resolution not up to scratch, and it does suffer slightly from ...
...Another obvious benefit is the massive lamp life of 4000 hours, which means it'll be a very long time before it needs changing. I have also found that this projector has one of the cheapest replacement lamp prices around, from just £140. The brightness is brilliant and this projector is so easy to set up and use that anybody could use it. The only bad point is the resolution, which could be better, but for this price there's no complaining! ... Read review

Home Cinema Experience
Review of BenQ PE5120 by someboyathome

Advantages: Bargain, Great Picture, Compaitabilty
Disadvantages: very minor: rainbow, blur, remote size

My first time at buying a projector and it was strictly for private personal use that I integrated into my own home personal cinema. I have now owned this projector for 9 months and I still use it very regularly on a daily basis. I have it mounted on my ceiling on a screen approx 3.5metres away from a 78" 16:9 Screen that I had to purchase separately. It has all the basic connections on the back such as DVI, S-Video, Composite, RGB which I have ...
...Satellite Box (NTL) and with the touch of a Button can change to different outputs. For Movies and TV such as football all your friends will love you its fantastic and never fails to impress. As you might have guessed it's fairly useless in the light, but is still fine with a bit of light in the room as the lamp is fairly powerful. When using with my PC the text can be hard to read and looks blocky, but if using to watch your divx movies etc or ... Read review

Sony Projector, Great all rounder!
Review of Sony VPL CX1 by CHAOS1979

Advantages: Amazing Depth of Colour and Picture Sharpness, portable
Disadvantages: Delicate - Replacement bulbs expensive

I have had this for around a year and its a great piece of Home Cinama Kit. We have the projector set up in our living room and we get a fantastic picture on movies and a 105" Screen. Our room just isn't long enough to make it bigger! We also use it for parties as you can get some outstanding 3d visualisations for winamp etc, always the talk of the party. I was very wary buying one of these, but i found one cheap on ebay and went for it, im so glad ...
...it an awful lot. There is the obvious drawbacks, you need to have adequate blinds/ cutrains to block light, it needs a dark room to work at its full potential, and be damn careful because those bulbs are expensive to replace. The set up is easy, connections are straightforward, and there are a good range of menu options enabling you to adjust the projector to your own preferences. ... Read review

You won't need the bloke in IT for this one
Review of Sanyo PDG-DSU20B by sadoldbag

Advantages: Great picture quality, high brightness, easy to operate
Disadvantages: none

This is a projector designed to work with a lap top and screen so you can do presentations or whatever where you want your computer screen projected. I also use it connected to a TV and VCR so you can project the image onto a larger screen, for showing to a whole room full of people. It costs £233 at the moment from the BT shop - that's the cheapest price I can find at the moment - I use mine at work, so I don't know what it actually cost. It is ...
...anywhere, and bore peole to death by powerpoint slide, on a global scale. It weighs a little over 6lbs, which is not bad, but if you can get the bloke in IT to set it up for you and carry it over, then I'd do that if I were you. It is a fabulous example of the genre. Firstly it's intelligent. It recognises when you've plugged something into it and you don't have to press a dozen buttons just to get it to talk to your laptop. I have a system with ... Read review
