..."rainbow effect" but with this Optoma there is virtually no rainbow effect at all - this is due to the 4x speed colour wheel, which is faster than you would find in many other projectors. I have had this for around a year and its a great piece of Home Cinama Kit. We have the projector set up in our living room and we get a fantastic picture on movies and a 105" Screen. Our room just isn't long enough to make it bigger! We also use it for parties as you can get some outstanding 3d visualisations for winamp etc, always the talk of the party. I was very wary buying one of these, but i found one cheap on ebay and went for it, im so glad ...

There is the obvious drawbacks, you need to have adequate blinds/ cutrains to block light, it needs a dark room to work at its full potential, and be damn careful because those bulbs are expensive to replace.
