Sony's Excellent Projector
Review of Sony VPL CX21 by Surj1

Advantages: High Brightness, 3LCD Projection System, AIAS (Advanced Intelligent Auto Setup), Short Focal Length
Disadvantages: Abit Noisy

The Sony VPL CX21 is a bright, slim, and stylish projector designed for mobile applications. A friend of mine has this and we always watch movies on it. The projector has many features which I've written about below with brief explanation of each feature: - High Brightness of 2100 ANSI Lumens The projector has three Sony 0.63-inch LCD panels and a latest designed 165 W lamp, it has a brightness of 2100 ANSI lumens, which provides amazing image ...
...System This is what the Sony projector is all about, it has a 3LCD projection system which means the projected images are bright and natural and for this to be achieved it has 3 LCD panels. It provides high light transmission and excellent colour reproduction. It even provides smooth gradients in dark areas and helps prevent the colour from breaking up. - AIAS (Advanced Intelligent Auto Setup) By switching on the power, the projector automatically ... ==handy home cinema==
Review of Sony VPL ES4 by saudmedhat

Advantages: Affordable and handy
Disadvantages: some small pixellations may appers if well focused image

I bought this device as a part of home cinema and i intended to watch DVDs .the maximum resolution of 800x600 pixels is pretty enough for most commersially available DVDs. with its bright illumination making it unnessesary to use the maximum lighting. setting light mode to ""standard"" can prolong life expectancy of the lamp further than the predicted and may reach 3000h. not to forget it's low noise and efficient cooling even after hours of continuous ...
...need frequent maintainance except ;maybe; cleaning the air filter every few months or when it heats abnormally. Final advice ,it may be wise to buy an extra lamp togather with the device as new brands will appear after few years and it may be more difficult to find the suitablt lamp thence. there is one point that may appear disappointing, on a perfect focusing you may see a small pixellation especially in still image .this is a feature in all ... Fantastically Amazing!
Review of Sony VPL EX3 by migitaldave

Advantages: Works in light and from distance
Disadvantages: Bulb cost - let me know if anyone can find them cheap!

Ok, so heres the deal... 1) I bought this projector 2) I painted a 6ft white square on my bedroom wall 3) Mounted the projector on a table facing the wall 4) Plugged my PC into the projector 5) Watched films from my 750Gb Hard drive on the wall. This is undoubtedly the SINGLE best purchase i have ever made and i have no shame in admitting that! I have never been so amazed at the wonders of a 6ft TV screen. Now i know what you are thinking..."but ... Read review

NO MORE VPL!
Review of Sony VPL HS1 by jellybean11

Advantages: quiet, horizontal AND vertical keystone adjustment
Disadvantages: no gamma correction facility, low output

...home cinema projectors so unsurprisingly Sony have stripped the features to the minimum; the connectivity of the machine is pretty frugal, for example it has no component input and other technical specification prove that in all essence it’s a rather basic piece of kit with 800 x 600 pixels and 800ANSI Lumens brightness (for the non-techies out there this is quite low although sufficient for a projector). ~~~FEATURES AND SETUP~~~ Although essentially ...
...picture quality in my opinion. Sony have obviously prioritised correctly with this piece of kit because naturally with any projector the key is to have a high picture quality. This machine has three LCD panels fitted to improve colour accuracy and it uses high quality optics. If you’ve got a suitably-equipped DVD player the VPL is also able to display a progressive scan image which a lot of the earlier models don’t. Setting up the unit is very straightforward, ...
