The Budget Projector from Plus
Advantages: Good projector, good quality, good cheap price for a great projector Disadvantages: Lots of functions you may require are only avaliable on the U7 projector range
Plus projectors are extremely high quality projectors. This projector is 2000 Lumes which is the average brightness a decent projector is seemed to be. This projector is a low budget pc as they come in as little as £335 + VAT in some online stores. And as they weight a very small amount they are very portable, they can also have a carry case, which makes it a suberb projector if you travel around doing various presentations. Also can be used in the ... ...it isnt the best that Plus do, they now has a U7 range which although the price tag is slightly bigger, have a range of extra features. However the U5-512h is a fantastic projector for the price that you are paying for the projector. It also has the ability to have a projector mount attached to it. ...

Optoma ES522 is an excellent buy
Advantages: budget price, excellent quality, good bulb life, replacement bulbs not extortionate, easy to use Disadvantages: it's only an SVGA projector
...firm called Ballicom International, this Optoma ES522 has proved ideal. We have it on a shelf above the bed which allows for a 2.8 metre throw onto the opposite wall upon which I’ve pasted a couple of sheets of custom-cut white lining paper (obtained from B&Q) and given them three coats of matt emulsion to make a cheap screen. For a rough estimate of the projected image size at this distance please visit the Optoma web site and refer to their brochure ... ...who’ve said that the Optoma ES522 is a great bang for the buck and a wise way of sampling the projector scene. But do compare ES522 with other budget models from BENQ & VIEWSONIC which are also reckoned to be pretty hot stuff. Otherwise ES522 is exceedingly good value. ...

MP772ST is a great short throw projector
Advantages: Incredibly convenient and great quality projection, has short throw technology Disadvantages: comes with a VGA cable, but need to buy S-video and component if you need them
I own and manage a small business selling electronics parts to various technology companies, so I require a projector that combines high quality, durability, and portability. I will first say that short throw technology's usefulness cannot be overstated. I take it everywhere with me, making pitches and presentations that require a large amount of flexibility as far as screen size and inputs. Although most people use a D-sub input, I have run into ... ...it is handy to have that option. For the most part though, I do bring my own laptop and rely on that for presentations. As far as screen size, I've projected on screens from as small as 50" to as large as 250". The adjustment is quite intuitive, and with a bit of practice it becomes a less than one minute process of finding the perfect picture. The MP772ST projects everything in great quality, including video and text. With its flexibility and all ...

About as good as it gets
Advantages: Image brightness, Picture quality, Build quality, Reliability. Disadvantages: Very heavy, very expensive
This is the kind of projector that you wouldn't imagine is easy to review, there's so many good sides, with one major downside which is hopefully justified by the good sides. This is a machine which has been designed and built without compromise in any area and has lots of innovation to improve the reliability and versatility of this machine. This is a 10000 lumen full HD chipped projector which is ideally suited to large screen home cinema applications ... ...source you put into this machine it makes the best use of it and reproduces it absolutely faithfully. From standard composite video, right up to full HD Blue-Ray via the DVI input the picture is stunning. The image is produced by a 3 DLP chip system, one for red, green and blue parts of the image. This means you get the image quality and colour reproduction of LCD, with the contrast and durability of DLP. This also means this projector is ideally ...

Great, with a few hiccups..
Advantages: Great picture quality, especially from HD sources.. Disadvantages: few niggles, poor power connection
...back after a recommendation for optoma DLP projectors. Was also reasonably priced for a HD projection system. Have this hooked up to my PS3 though its HDMI connection at present and it works like a dream, the picture quality is amazing in HD. Watching Bluerays is like being in the cinema. It is possible to use during the day as long as it is not too bright and the projected surface is not in direct light. Have also connected via my laptop and the ... ...slight problem with the power cable, loose connection, however I got this replaced and has caused me no problems since. The projector has also kept telling me the bulb is reaching the end of its useful life, so I bought a new bulb. however it is still working 6 months after warning me. In my opinion it is a great little projector for home cinema use. ...
