Excellent

Comfort, fuel economy, excellent handling

None so far

Introduction Okay, before reviewing the Impian I do need to be honest and say that I and my wife have owned a number of Protons over the years (around 6 at last count), and I do like the marque. The earlier Protons had a considerable amount of Mitsubishi DNA running through them, with a lot of...

This is a car you have probably never heard of before despite it being on sale for the past eight years. It’s a car that doesn’t hold its value too well but was recently voted the best value for money used car by a motoring website. It’s a car with a badge that most people if they were badge...

“Proton Waja”

Steady when driving at high speed

Parts tend to loosen over time

As opposed to the title, this is in fact a Proton Waja - one of Malaysia's best selling car. When it was first launched, as usual proton cars have the tendency of having problems especially in the power window, door panel and the dashboard. On the other hand, the 1.6 liter engine is not really...

i've spent about 120 000 miles (from new) in this car so I'm fairly qualified to comment. Build quality isn't the greatest, with frequent failings with the power windows, and exterior door handles. High insurance groups mean that this product is best tasted by mature and un - accident prone drivers. Fuel economy is great - Drive a manual and you'll be hard pressed to find a petrol powered saloon this size which manages 42 mpg, on a combined cycle!! There is a lot of room, motorway journeys are refined as long as you choose the right tyres and stay below 80. It's a well built engine - three timing belt changes later and it still doesn't need an oil top up between services!!!
