The Psion Gold Card Global ISDN modem is the only PCMCIA modem I have ever used, but I have never and most probably will never need to look elsewhere for a replacement. The techy bit: It has two 64Kbps data channels which can be used separately or combined for 128Kbps digital data throughput. Just plug it in and off you go. It is also GSM ready - All major mobile phones are supported including Nokia, Ericsson and Motorola, (apparently, although I haven't tried them). Advantages: Relatively cheap now, good speed Disadvantages: There are new technologies now on the market
